very welcoming and warm hostel. Only downside i can think of is location, which requires a waterbus to reach it, with a 7 euro single trip. We were there long enough to to warrant a 48hr pass for 30 euro which is a lot more economical, but still its difficult to reach after a night out. Otherwise, a lovely place

Hostel was generally clean, well equipped and the room was big with a beautiful view of Venice. The people who lived there permanently were rude and unwelcoming. We were made to feel uncomfortable in all the common areas, were given dirty looks when trying to cook (in a kitchen that was completely full of the residents cooking food leaving no room for paying customers) and otherwise ignored with no attempt to even be polite to people who were actually paying to stay there. Wouldn't recommend.

The hostel in on La Giudecca, not too far from St Marks Square, but you do have to get on the waterbus to reach the main island of Venice. We got 3-day passes for the vaporetti, which are much better value than single tickets. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the room was bigger than we expected. There are also lots of communal spaces. The only downside is that there was no air-conditioning. There was a fan provided in the room, but it was still too hot to sleep.

This is a nice place to stay at. The only bad thing is that it does not have AC and we went during july when it was pretty hot. But the people at the front desk were very nice and lent us another fan. Also keep an eye for the times that the front desk is actually open because is not 24 hrs (bless me that thinks that everything works as in the US) they usually let you leave your luggage and tour the city and check in later. Enjoy Venice!!

While the hostel is fairly nice, the staff (when not at the front desk) is unhelpful and not at all friendly. They couldn't answer simple questions (where to buy a ferry pass, when the pharmacy down the block closed) and weren't welcoming to guests. Mosquitoes are also a huge problem. There is no air conditioning, so your options in the summer are sweating to death or getting eaten alive. The "mosquito machines" offered seem to invite them rather than deter. I wouldn't stay here again

It's a nice hostel with beautifull view, also the recepcionist was so nice and kind but it's in a island near to Venice and to go there need to pay 7.5 euros each time
