Very nice and cozy hostel. Never thought to get a hostel like this for this prize here in Japan! Also the area is pretty, beach for swimming, surfing and diving in walking distance. Nice Onsen close by!!!!

Jasmine Lodge was beautiful. It had a nice cabin atmosphere, scenic views, and it wasn't crowded or busy so you could really relax. It's very close to the bus stop to get to Shimoda or the beaches/onsens. The manager, Tomita, is a really great guy. He picked us up from the train station, drove us to/from Shimoda a few times, gave us recommendations for food and how to get around, and even made us coffee and waffles one the morning. He really made our stay enjoyable and was the perfect host.

Really great lodge, wooden rustic feel to it, the owner is very helpful and kind, he let us use his surf board and gave us a lift to the station. An awesome beach near by great for surfing or just hanging out, Shimoda a historical town is a short bus ride away (although the buses aren't very frequent) you can hike to the lighthouse island which is really beautiful. Really wish I could have stayed longer.
