Jazz was great, clean and Safe, a very good price. If you are happy in Harlem then its a great location. Close to the 2/3 subway and the m60 bus (LaGuardia airport). I felt safe at 3am walking from the subway. The staff were laid back and may have seemed ignorant, but never had any problems with my special requests. Not enough washrooms and showers are a little awkward but not a big problem. Request a towel when you check in, they did run out. Nice place..very close to the subway--but quite far from clubs and stuff--can be a tricky place at night for girls alone. Just need to be extra careful. But nice, brightly lit, very clean hostel. if you wanna go for a couple of days to NYC and don't have much money this is a good place to spend the night, i felt safe, we walk at 1 am in the morning and nothing happen to us, but you have to be careful..the staff is really friendly and the place is ok, the bathrooms are pretty small but you can enjoy NYC for a cheap place...is really close to the subway and you can go every way from there...one advise don't take to much luggage with you.if you wanna go for a couple of days to NYC and don't have much money this is a good place to spend the night, i felt safe, we walk at 1 am in the morning and nothing happen to us, but you have to be careful..the staff is really friendly and the place is ok, the bathrooms are pretty small but you can enjoy NYC for a cheap place...is really close to the subway and you can go every way from there...one advise don't take to much luggage with you....Close

For the price, it's worth it. First Hostel experience. Didn't look as nice as the website, but It wasn't the worst place either. Even though it was in Harlem ZERO problems from anyone, even at 1, 2, 3 am....again ZERO. Felt very secure! For the price, it's worth it. First Hostel experience.
