I stayed in the Jazz on South Beach in February for a few days. I had booked a 12 bed mixed dorm and I was definitely positive surprised about the whole facility. The dorms and bathrooms were clean, the location is great, very central and easily accessible with public transport. The staff was very nice and Eduardo from the front desk surprised us with perfect German skills. I met a lot of great people there and I'm very glad, that I picked this hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. It was really nice. I stayed in a 12 mixed dorm and I really could sleep well. At night i was really quite. My roommates were super nice, like everybody in the hostel. The staff was really nice and helpful, especially Eduardo. ;) Really nice that he could talk german! The pancakes in the morning were okay. They were free so that's good when you have not that much money. I probably would go there again. I had a great time there! :)

Well located to an excellent price for the location. Theonly thing it's if you drive to the htoel, there is no parking lot in the hostel or near it, but if you reach it in bus, the stop it's two blocks away.

Good for couple of nights, thumbs up for letting you bring your own booze, but thumbs down to have to put the beer in a plastic glass, but in general quite good for price

I liked Jazz a lot better than Miami International Hostel. Jazz (4 bed dormitory) is so much cleaner and quieter. Perhaps my room was really quiet since it was located on all the way down the hallway. However, if you want "friendlier and let's go crazy" atmosphere, go to MIH. One thing that bothered me was its location considering that the "main" part of south beach is 14th~18th st. Even though it's walking distance to most places, it gets annoying. Besides this, I would recommend Jazz.

Nice hostel. Good price, Great staff and quite nice breakfast. if you want good value and good location and are not expecting anything too fancy, can't see any reason why you should not be happy here.

This hostel is the place to stay in South Beach. This was because of the staff's helpfulness, especially the lady that works in the mornings. She has good multitasking, goes beyond her job duties in helping the guests. The rest of the staff also works to make your stay pleasant. The lunches, dinners and all the amenities are great for the value of the money. We had a great time meeting new people, going out with groups to the bars/clubs. Hostel is one of the best in North America. Thanks!

Everithing was good, except for the staff girl who attend us, she was unfriendly and I think she was angry.

We had a great time at Jazz on South Beach. But, the person at the reception during the day (3th to 6th janurary 2012) wasn't helpful. She looks like she doesn't like her job and her clients at all. We never seen her smile. We were not comfortable asking for help with her.

The staff were really nice, they had everything there that you needed, hairdryer, ironing board. Wifi was great - lots of people had their laptops, but the 2-3 internet computers had a waiting line usually. It was very close to Walgreens, shopping on Collins Av and the beach. So it was a happy medium. Rooms are clean. I had a great time because I was staying with a bunch of fun people in my room! Yay! :)

Facilitywise and overall a great hostel. Although very disorganized, had to change my bed 5x because of misbookings. Not cool to get home from drinking at 12am and find your stuff in a bin-bag by the reception. Twice. Staff was great & friendly - except that lady working during the day, who was disgracefully rude to everyone (staff as well as clients).

Location was great and facilities average. Staff members were mainly average, but left with major negative impression after dealing with young African-American lady working front desk (mentioned by travelers in previous reviews). Incredibly rude, unhelpful, and downright unfriendly. Location is decent. Found some bugs in bed. Was nice having bathroom in room and kitchen nearby. Stay at The Tropics Hotel and Hostel instead. Farther up the strip and same discount prices. Safe travels!

The hostel was nice, but the staff is not really friendly. You can't make noise after 11pm, which sucks, because you can't hang out in the lobby after that. Really close to the beach and bars. Not the best hostel i've been to, but it could be worse. Loved the people i got to hang out with at the hostel!!!!

They are very unpolite and rude. There was a flood in the street and they did not help people go in or out the hotel, moreover, all the time they replied in a bad tone.
