Very well situated. Nice staff. Strange opening hours for the reception. Collective rooms are quite spacious, so you have space for your backpack and also a specific locker for each bed. A ridiculous 10 euros is asked as a caution for your key room. Also you'll have to pay 2,5 euros extra for linen. Breakfast is 4 euros and is as cheap as expected.
excellent hostel but expensive especially compared to say Leipzig - Five Elements etc
It was a great time there, such a central position in a lovely house. With some roommates, the owner Patrick and some of his friends and neighbours of the hostel we met infront of the house in the evenig. Nothing was planed, people just talked to each other and then we had a wonderful time exploring the lovely town of Rostock and came back when the sun came up. The Ostsee is also so great, so definitly go to the beach when you are there!
Jellyfish has a very good location, and the cleanliness is perfect. Staff is quite helpful and friendly. I would not consider other hostels for Rostock.
Jellyfish hostel was nice. Very clean, however the beds were a bit uncomfortable and they charge extra for linens, which was annoying. Breakfast was good, but not included and seemed a bit overpriced. They had great Internet connection and were easily located from the train station. Jellyfish hostel is located in the historical Centre, which was nice.
Cozy and very clean and safe place in the old town of Rostock. Large dormitories, 24h common area, free wi-fi and TV available, breakfast provided (not included), Fully equipped kitchen and fridge, unfortunately no check-in possible after 22h. Easy to find, main tramway hub "Steintor" is just around the corner, 5 mins walk to the very city centre. Friendly and helpful stuff (free maps, cheap beer & softdrinks available at the reception). Good value for money at Shellyfish's!
