I would recommend Jetpak Alternative to everyone! Especially if you are young and travelling alone. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. Everyone is very friendly and excited to meet new people. I would definitely go back here again.
The deluxe room was amazing and the staff even more. We loved the atmosphere and we'll be back for another visit in march! Security was good because of the electronic card locks. The hostel got cleaned every morning and they really put an effort in doing so. Best hostel I've ever been to. Not the biggest but it didn't matter!

I had a great time at Jet Pak. I've stayed 4 nights. The hostel has a very cool atmosphere and the common area is perfect to meet other travelers. Is located a walking distance from the hype nightclubs and bars, and is very easy to get to the subway. The staff is nice and kind. Best in Berlin!
Had THE best time staying at Jetpak Alternative. Great location, awesome facilities, really good atmosphere and the staff are absolute legends. I'll most certainly be staying here next time I'm in Berlin!
Best place ever. You guys are the best. Keep on doing what your doing. (y)
Jetpak was by far the best hostel experience I've ever had. It wasn't necessarily the facilities (which are perfectly nice) or the staff (which were friendly and made some great suggestions for local activities), but the other people that were staying there. I don't know if I just got incredibly lucky, but every person I talked to was unreasonably awesome. Love the location in the back of Kreuzberg. Not extremely close to the S-bahn, but gives you a great dose of Berlin's personality.
This place was incredible!! The perfect location for berlin, the best staff, the best showers and an amazing vibe every night. If you wanna meet people, enjoy the 'berlin scene' or grab a freshly baked muffin with your brekkie this is the place to be! Nearly everyone i met there (including me) extended their stay here. I cant hype it up enough. I loved it and now i miss it!
Loved my stay at Jetpak Alternative. Very nice clean rooms and an unbeatable atmosphere for the solo traveler. The common room consists of a xbox/tv and a very long table where people hang out and drink 1 euro beers until about midnight when the common room is closed and everyone heads off to experience the nightlife in Berlin, which is in walking distance of the hostel. Will definitely be back
Awesome location to base yourself in for exploring berlin! Super social hostel with amazing staff. For any Aussies, they have vegemite for breakfast!!!!!! Amazing place to stay.
Good location in kruezberg. Bout 30min from main tourist attractions on public transport. Good wifi coverage. Friendly people. Awesome toilets/showers. Can't fault this place!
It wasn't the worst hostel but I don't think I would recomend it.. When I got to Berlin.. I call the hostel to get info and the girl told me something completely wrong... The hostel is near a park full of drug dealers and really dark at night... Not bathroom in the common room and you have to go outside to go to your room. In the night they close the reseption and you have to enter through a door that is always open for everyone even for the people who lives in the same palace!
I will definitely be recommending JetPak Alternative to anyone who is heading to Berlin. The location was great and the staff were excellent - especially Bernard, Grant and Julio. The atmosphere in the common room every night was great and I met so many new people with amazing stories over a couple of 1euro Berliners. There were even fresh baked muffins every few days. The shower facilities in my dorm were definitely the best out of any hostel i've stayed at in Europe so far. Great place!
Didn't like it at all, especially for te price you are paying. The hostel is right next to a park that at night is nos very secure, it doesn't have a kitchen and you cannot even make your own coffee or tea because they have this big coffee machine that only the staff can use. If you want a coffee after breakfast you have to pay. There is no bathroom in the common area and you have to walk through the cold to go to your room and use the toilet. The price you pay is not worth it at all.
Nice hostel, great place to meet people. You have drinks at the fridge. The location is not good, you have to walk 10 blocks to take the train to main atractions. You can´t cook meal in that hostel.
Good: Amazing fast wifi, downside is breakfast is cereal and bread, euro beers, great socializing environment for solo travelers. Great water pressure for showers/clean. Plenty of plugs in rooms for charging, spacious rooms. 15-20min walk to most popular clubs in Berlin. Bad: far from tourist slots, 15-20min walk to Sbahn/uBahn stations. Intimidating neighborhood if you're a smaller traveler but safe the entire time onward there.
I ended up staying at Jetpak for 2 weeks because I loved it so much. The size and vibe is wonderful and the common area set-up makes it very easy to make friends. There's always lots of people hanging out which makes it the kind of hostel you look forward to coming back to in the evening. The staff are wonderful, everything is clean, comfortable, they have €1 beer, an awesome coffee machine, a guitar, movies and it's really close to the train, good clubs, the east side gallery and cheap food :)
This is the best hostel I've been to on my trip. The staff is very kind and it is very easy to meet other solo travelers.
This hostel was honestly great. They have a common room with a big dinning table and a fridge with 1€ beers which makes it really easy to meet people. The area is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and it's at a walking distance from some good clubs. The staff is super friendly specially Julian who is simply an awesome person and probably the most helpful staff member I've met so far. Ask for directions on how to get there, the ones here suck.
