First of all we stayed here three times, so they're obviously doing something right. It's an impeccably clean hostel, with good facilities in a nice part of Santa Cruz. They're let down by high prices (including for laundry, drinks etc), and charging for all possible extras. You have to pay to swap books, watch a DVD, or leave your bags. We had to leave a bit early one morning and weren't allowed breakfast because of it. Not impressed.

The hostel is very clean and very well presented - nicely painted, laid out etc! Nice place to chill and nice pool. Sadly there is ZERO atmosphere at this hostel. Everyone seemed depressed there (including staff!), but I think it may be because Santa Cruz is not such a nice place. Only go there if u have to, in order to get to somewhere else! Ugly city with nothing to see or do!! BBQ was very good and created a bit of spirit in the hostel for a few hours!

Really an awesome Hostel with really nice facilities and also meeting people is easy. They do a barbecue from time to time and it is delicious!! The Hostel is a little bit more expensive as other ones but if you are in Hostelling International you can safe a little bit.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed in... Ever. A lot of people seem to complain about the price, but I think it's a great price for what you get. I've certainly paid a lot more for much less amenities. The staff is great! The pool is amazing! If you get lucky and get a BBQ night, you will not be disappointed! The place is SPOTLESS. Would highly recommend!

This is by far the best hostel that we will ever stay in. Incredibly clean, very helpful staff, amazing facilities including a well maintained pool, hot showers, great bar etc. atmosphere was a bit hit or miss but when this place is rocking it really is brilliant. Great for a few days of down time by the pool. The only negative (and this is scraping the barrel for a balanced review) is the location, which is slightly far away from central Santa Cruz. Taxis make this no problem though. Amazing!

A little out of town but it's a nice, clean hostel. If you want to meet people and drink beers by the pool, this is the place for you. I thought it was a little overpriced, and the laundry service was double the price compared to other hostels. However the breakfast was great and the staff were pretty helpful.

Place was incredible. Very well run, organized, with friendly bi-lingual staff. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Best hostel i've stayed at. Santa cruz in itself isn't much, but we stayed for 1 week just because this hostel is so awesome.

One of the cleanest hostel i've ever stayed. The facilities are the best in Santa Cruz I believe. The price is higher than other hostels but it is totally worth the money.

This hostel is amazing, beautiful pool and nice outdoor area. Breakfast is great, includes eggs cooked how you like with plenty of fruit available. Very clean hostel is spotless every morning and bathrooms in our room were great water was warm never had any issues also shared bathrooms very clean. Beds were comfortable and people there were great. Only knock is the wifi doesn't travel far and can be hard to reconnect. Staff very helpful and the owners a legend. Highly reccomend

Really nice hostel- funky colour schemes and extremely clean. Excellent free breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs (cooked on sight) bread and condiments. The owner is so lovely and speaks really good English as well as many of the other staff. About 15-20min walk into the centre, though to be honest there's not much to do there so you'll probably only need to visit it just the once. Nick's adventures offers many tours around the area- ask the staff for more info. Peace.

Nice hostel with pool, simple but nice breakfast, nice common arrea's, ok kitchen but limited equipment. Friendly staff and owner introduced himself as well( he used to travel as well). Only negative: bit of a walk from center, but take a taxi: so cheap!

Really a nice hostel to stay at, where to meet people, party and relax. Santa Cruz is an expensive city compare to the rest of Bolivia, but paying a bit more to stay at Joganda is worth it. Everything is really clean, the pool is great (especially after a long day of bus in the hot weather), the breakfast also (more than bread, butter and jam !) and there are a lot of nice common areas. However, it is a bit far from the city centre (but there is not much to do there...).

We stayed only one night and we loved it! We booked a double private room, shared bathroom, and although the check in was only at 2pm, the room was available so they let us check in earlier (at 8am). Everything was clean and very organized, friendly staff and the breakfast is THE BEST breakfast that I've ever saw in a hostel! The only thing I could possibly mention as a con is that a got feeling that if the hostel was full, there will be not enough bathrooms. Definitely wolud stay there again!

We ended up staying at Jodanga for 3 weeks as we looked for an apartment in Santa Cruz (we are studying here as a group of 6 for three months) the hostel was perfect, the staff are amazing, always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble. If you are eating out go to Factory or Brasargent amazing food and good value, just as close as bk or subway to walk to. Some new plates in the kitchen would be my only suggestion - pretty much a perfect hostel! Thanks for everything guys :) the Scottish x
