I ended up with bed bug bites literally from head to toe! The shuttle service they provide to and from the airport is unreliable. We changed our pick up time only by 30 mins and 2 hrs before we were to land and they claimed they couldnt get a hold of the shuttle driver. On the way back to the airport the driver conviniently didnt have change. We ended up paying $40 for a $25 shuttle ride. Hope the driver enjoyed his ill gotten $15 tip! Beware this place!

Lovely hostel to stay at. 15 min walk to Bourbon St and French quarter. We were a bit disappointed that we had booked a 3 bed dorm and were put in a 4 bed one but it didn't turn out to be an issue. The girl's bathroom was really nice!

Amazing location in the heart of one of the most fascinating parts of the world and New Orleans. Be respectful, be wary, be conscientious, but don\'t be put off my Treme\'s reputation. Lovely people. Just think, you could be sleeping just across the street from where Louis Armstrong used to blow his horn, and in the same building where he used to get his horn blown!

Staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was pretty close to Bourbon st and Frenchman st in the French Quarter. The beds were also comfortable . I didn't like the fact that they rent the lounge room out so you didn't have anywhere to chill out and use the wi Fi or watch tv on a tv that doesn't work.

The location of this hotel is quite close to the center of the nightlife, i.e. Bourbon Street. However, the neighbourhood is kind of creepy and gloomy; girls cannot definitely come home alone. The rooms are not comfy and the level of cleanliness is barely satisfactory.

We really enjoyed our stay at Joe and Flo' s. It is situated in an old typical house of the Treme district. The area is interesting to see as it is very different from the centre; a good opportunity to discover another face of New Orleans. It is a short 10 minute walk to the French quarter. The hostel has lots of character, it is old, clean and everything works. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we really appreciated being able to cook in the kitchen and sit in the backyard to eat.

Cool hostel within a 10-minute walk to the French Qtr. The security of this place is good and the cleanliness is about average for a hostel. My bed was comfy and everyone else there seemed to enjoy the place. I had read reviews that bedbugs were an issue there, but I nor anyone else got any bites. Free do-it-yourself pancakes every morning. While the neighborhood doesn't seem like the safest, I felt fine walking around at night. Cool hostel, and the staff is excellent. Airport pick up for $20!

NEAL and all the staff were pleasant and accomodating. This place is very quiet, clean, and would recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans. It is centrally located for Jazz Fest for those that would like to walk to festival and French Quarter.

I had an excellent stay at Joe & Flo's. The location was perfect for a music lover. It was an easy walk to Frenchman St. and also easy to get to the Fairgrounds by bus. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

This Hostel is great and the management is great. The location is great to get to the French Quarter by foot, but it is not such a great neighborhood. With care at walking at night, it is a great place to stay.

First off - there's never anyone at the front desk, and when they are there they're not that helpful really... Several times, including checking in, we had to call them and just wait till they came to resolve the query, and that was usually about 30 mins till they came. We moved to AAE Bourbon House after 2 nights, that was far superior in almost every way. Jo&Flo's was a 15 minute walk to the french quarter, but was in an area many ppl (including lonely planet) warned us to stay out of.

I got bed bugs from this place, which has really put a huge damper on an otherwise good experience.

We got a room, which was dirty as hell. I asked for change cause that was just to disgusting in there. We waited for an hour till they cleaned the room we got after. And I got bitten from bed bugs. Nice...

Terrible. Organised airport pickup which never arrived. Person I spoke to on the phone said he would get our room ready quickly so we could check in right away to make up for the airport pickup. However, when we arrived there was nobody at reception and he was out the back chatting to people. The hostel is in a very bad area and our taxi driver was reluctant to drop us off there. Door is wide open. Anyone could walk in. In the end we decided to stay elsewhere. Still got charged for 1 night.

The location was very good for New Orleans, 5 min walk to the French Quarter with a Banksey work and a good coffee shop on the way. The facilities were clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Nice and quite.
