Please ask Joe what he can do for you! joe knows everything and everyone in Sanya. He is cheerful, efficient, generous and has some of the best stories you will ever hear! Comparing the other hostels and economy hotels everywhere in Sanya we found that Joe was less price for more quality in stay and access. His hostel gets the job done with many extras. We were on a business trip and chose this hostel because of Joes reputation among our friends. The hostel itself is well situated, Beach!

Friendly staff, Joe is a good English speaker. It was also possible to speak cantonese to the receptionist which made it easy to communicate to the staff for us. We got good recommendations from the hostel about where to go, where to eat and what to do. Room was clean and neat.

Everyone was very pleasant. I wish I could have stayed longer. Its perfectly located and very easy to get around the city either walking of taking bus. I can't thank them enough for all of their help.

Good location, close to the beach and public busses nearby (to airport, train station and scenic spots). Staff friendly and helpful. Apart from his English, Joe's Chinese is also very good :-)

Some rooms have not window, because houses next door are very close to the hostel. But stuff is very good, after the first night they propose to change room. The second room was much better. We had private room with one big bed. Stuff give clean towels every day. The room is also clean. The central Sanya beach is in 1 minute. You can reach a lot of attractions by bus. There is no restaurant in the hostel, but there are a lot of places, where you can eat near the hostel.

This place was great! the room was the cleanest we've had, nice size and Joe was so friendly and helpful. Like others said it is more like a hotel but the location was great (15 min bus from Dadonghai beach, walking distance to Sanya Bay and shopping area). My wife and I highly recommend it!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights, in a basic double bed private room. Joe and his staff are simply wonderful, they really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great time in Sanya. The hostel is a little hard to find at first, but it's definitely worth finding, though, it's so close to the beach. Aussie beware, you might not be as impressed with Sanya's beaches as the rest of the world. Yalong bay, particularly, was quite sculpted, artificial and overpriced.

This hostel really amazed me! Joe is such a nice person, good hearted and very kind to help. The rooms are very nice but you can easily hear what people are talking in the other rooms. We were there during chinese new year so there were kids and families playing and talking all the time. It is REALLY close to the beach and all important bus stations.

hi from estonia. me and 5 of my friends stayed at joe's seaside inn for 2 nights at the beginning of february 2013. great hostel, a bit tricky to find but superb location. also, joe spoke english like a pro considering other locals' abilities. all'n'all, great hostel, if returning to sanya we'd probably book rooms at joe's inn again, no doubt. big cheers from estonia!

The hostel is very good, situated right besides the seashore (sanya bay). The staff is a couple, both are very kind and nice. Rooms are very clean and are cleaned every day.

Great location; just a few steps away from the beach. Coconuts are everywhere to drink, and the fruit stands are fresh and succulent. The staff were generally understanding, and one staff member is very proficient in English. If you need help, look for Joe. They also showed us their consideration and caring when they made sure that we had securely placed our passports and such items in a secure location while waiting for our room to be cleaned for check in.

this is not a hostel per se but a great place to be independent. you can get away from it all. yet its 53 sec from the beach!joe and his wife are very kind helping gentle folk. he is open to suggestions because i rearranged the furniture to make it easier to sit and visit with people. i gave him his 1st english book for exchanges too. i liked sanya bay because you have public trees for shade and the area feels normal not too ritzy. older chinese are singing and playing instruments on the beach.

Joe was an excellent host. Clean hostel, great location right next to the beach, as well as major bus routes. Our group stayed here five nights. Be sure to meet Joe while you are here - very fascinating man to talk to! The only drawback to the Hostel was a lack of common space to meet other travelers, but otherwise one of the top locations I have stayed in - and you cannot beat the price!!!

Joe and his wife are the best and most genuine people you will meet. He has got only good intentions with you. we changed room because the first floor had a little more noise comming from the lobby. No problem, they fixed that in a couple of hours. The location is good for the beach and cheaper food is very close by. The beds are a little hard, but that is just the chinese standard, ask for an extra blanket. No HOSTEL can messure their charm, we wish he would use the terrace as meeting place

We stayed there for one night on Christmas. The room we booked was very cheap, and very clean. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The hostel is right near the beach, only 15 minutes away from the bus station by foot, and close to the airport (direct by bus). We really enjoyed our stay there, and I hope that we'll have an opportunity to come back ^^
