I can strongly recommend this hostel because... 1) The hostel's owner (Joe) speaks perfect English and is extremly friendly and helpful: he helped us around the clock, called other Chinese people for us and arragened a day trip to Wuzhizhou island for us (even accompanied us by public transport to Dadonghai, the location, where the tour started). In the evening it is very interesting to talk to Joe about China and the Hainan island 2) Great location, very close to the beach 3) Price for value

Great place to stay in Sanya. Joe and his family are very welcoming and his English is excellent. The room was cosy and clean, with good air con. Location is very close to the bus stops and the beach. Stay at Joe's if you visit Sanya.

This hostel is more an inexpensive hotel with clean towels in the bathroom, stuff like toothbrush, shampoo and so on. I missed the relaxed atmosphere like the other hostels where I stayed. They didn't have a fun area to hang out. Other than that, the room and bath room were very clean and the sheets were changed after a couple of days. The wi-fi was not working in my room, but you can ask for a cable at the reception. There are plenty of cheap chinese food right next to the hostel as well.

Stayed at Joes- Great Guy, Great Place. If you like the areas that are for locals and have a local flavor- this is the place! The beach is literally a one minute walk. At night and on weekends, the locals all go out and dance and play music in the park next to the beach. Joe is EXTREMELY helpful, cheerful and speaks english really well. The staff kept the room clean and the restaurant next door is really good and a great price! I highly recommend! We are going back!

Joe is a wonderful gentleman who is cheerful, welcoming and very helpful in giving loads of tips about where to visit and how to travel by bus in Sanya and the surroundings. A lovely fresh and spacious room that was spotlessly clean with a good shower too! The location is perfect being just a few strides from Sanya Bay beach and several bus routes to other bays nearby. I have already recommended Joe\'s Seaside Inn to friends! Better than many top grade hotels and more fun.

Unfortunately, I had to leave Sanya 4 days earlier than my booking of the room in this hostel was over. When I informed the owner of the hostel about that (I did it 3 days before leaving) he said that he would refund me only half of the money. I was sure that I would get 100% refund beacause this hostel is supposed to have 1 day cancellation policy, but he insisted on 50% saying it would be fair. After long negotiations I managed to get 2/3 of my money((( Except this part, everything was fine!

This facility was good.. Joe speaks pretty good English and is very personable. However, the internet serfvice was poor, I had to reboot my computer very often to continue the server connection, also, the WiFi was not operational as yet. Great location.

I recently stayed at Joe\'s Seaside Inn in Sanya on 2 separate occasions while travelling in S. Hainan Prov. Great location a block from the beach, plenty of low-cost places to eat literally just outside the door. The pictures are exact replcas of the rooms and believe me you won\'t find anything as classy in the Sanya area for this price. Laid back atmosphere as far as coming & going and Joe is an expert on all the things Sanya and Hainan have to offer. His English is great & a wonderful staff !!

I had an awesome time staying at Joe's Seaside Inn. Joe was very helpful with where to go and how to get there. The better beach is Dadonghai, but I went on a few walks on the beach right accross the street from the hostel. The only thing negative about this place is that it is extremely hard to find. We got in at night so we almost walked right by it because the enterance is so small. Luckily, someone in my group happened to spot it.
