Jolly Swagman Backpackers is a fun, clean, spacious hostel overlooking a plaza on a nice, quiet street only five minutes from the nightlife of King's Cross. It's got everything a backpacker could need, from friendly staff to 'nice party offers with free drinks and great people', according to our guests, many of whom say they'd 'definitely recommend this hostel' and would stay again. We like that they have lots of essential little extras available, such as irons and in-room fridges.

Located in a quiet, leafy street in Potts Point, we're just minutes' walk to the heart of Sydney's Backpacker Mecca - Kings Cross.
We're proud to offer our guests a safe, secure environment with our 24 hour reception.
The main CBD is easily accessible by train or by foot through the botanical gardens. All the best clubs and pubs are only a hop, skip and a jump away so there is no need for trains, buses or taxis.
We have great deals with the best backpacker-friendly bars and restaurants to offer all our guests great discounts and free entry wherever you go. Our friendly Entertainment Manager is always ready to take you and your fellow backpackers out and show you a good time!

This is a good hostel. Good facilities, clean rooms and a really good kitchen + Chillarea. Further more they have special events every like going out, or football, or dinners. The only criticism is that they didn't give us the discount for VIP-Backerpackers, although they had advertising for it and broshures al around the place

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Check-in: from 11am. On arrival, you are required to pay for the total nights you have booked. We accept payments by cash, credit card, eftpos or Australian dollar travellers' cheques. We have a 48hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the full amount of their booking.
Christmas and New Year's Eve bookings:
Sydney is in high demand during Christmas and New Years Eve so we require a minimum stay of 10 nights, so rather than having a hostel full of individuals, after spending a week or more together by New Years Eve we have a hostel full of people who know each other as friends and every one is part of our Jolly family.
Please note that from 23rd December to 2nd January, Christmas and New Years Eve bookings must be pre-paid. You will be charged the balance of your accommodation two weeks prior to arrival. This is non-refundable.
