This is a good hostel. Good facilities, clean rooms and a really good kitchen + Chillarea. Further more they have special events every like going out, or football, or dinners. The only criticism is that they didn't give us the discount for VIP-Backerpackers, although they had advertising for it and broshures al around the place

Small place, in a sketchy part of Kings Cross, not for first time backpackers really. The bathrooms stank up the halls, the rooms are small, but they do alot of activities for people to meet each other, and the staff is extremely helpful.

Staff could not handle the check in check out process properly. The management needs work something out, so people don't have to move 3 times their rooms

The breakfast wasn't so big. Our 6 mixed bedroom wasn't so big, with only one chair and no place to put our own staff. It's ok if you are staying just few days. It's ok if you think that in Sydney everything is really expensive.

Have been travelling all over the world and this is one of the best places I have stayed :-) excellent staff whom were really friendly and helped us plan our short stay in sydney. Great offers on food (esp the suasages on friday nights BBQ!), and they staff take you on nights out! Worth a visit just for the hot Irish receptionist!!

We had a good time at the hostel, there could have been more showers on each floor, but the free breakfast was amazing! Not too loud but still offering a lot of activities!

Good in general, my only observation y that on the top floor's bathhroom, the is one of the showers not working because of water pressure I think.

Only stayed for a night, but was a good 'landing pad' for sure. downstairs didn't seem very clean, but upon arrival at my room, it was clear the the bed had been freshly made with nice clean sheets, and that's what's truly important. The shared bathroom was also clean enough, but only had two toilets - potential for wait lines, but I didn't have any problem. Didn't get a chance to try the complimentary breakfast, so can't comment on that!

Good value hostel. Free breakfast and free shuttle buses with free drinks to some bars. Great way for independent travellers to meet others! Definitely take advantage of the free shuttle bus from airport to the hostel...I didn't realise they offered that and wasted 16 AUD because of it :(

Great location right on Kings Cross. Great staff (especially the Scouse girl on reception!) Good base point for meeting people if your just arriving in Australia. Effort is mate to introduce newcomers to others, nice touch.

Staff were really helpful, good sized rooms, better wifi offers would be appreciated however

Some hostels are run by travelers and some hostels are run as a business. This seemed to be run as a business. Best example is the 9 am check out time and they seem to take a lot of pride in not being at all flexible about it. And the kitchen is closed for cleaning at 9 am as well. That did not make a lot of sense. Staff was o.k. You can tell the hostel is trying to be a good hostel, but just not their yet. Just an o.k. hostel but loads of other hostels to choose from in the area.

Thought it was a great hostel. Not too big and not too small. I thought it was very social. I was impressed with the entertainments and activities they organize each night. Its a shame I could not stay longer :( Overall - very impressed.
