What would be really great is free W-Lan. But it's ok that they have it, but you pay for it.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments - returning guests really are the biggest compliment! It is amazing to view the Victoria Falls at different times of the year - both high water and low water are incredibly different and exciting.

Just that I would have liked the room cleaned while we were there without having to ask for it to be done as that seemed more like troubling someone. Also the sheets, it was difficult to tell whether they had been used before as they were not ironed.

Thanks for your feedback and we can see see from your 'marks' that you felt our services and facilities were great. Our private rooms are not cleaned automatically on a daily basis, as many guests would prefer their privacy but guests are welcome to leave their key at reception and we are happy to clean your room. All linen is sent to a local laundromat where all linen is cleaned and ironed.

1. noise. The decibel level grew as the night deepened. Having booked an early morning departure for game viewing, we did not appreciate the late-night noise adjacent to our room. 2. Worse was the deplorable condition of the shower in Livingstone. It had not been cleaned, or scrubbed, for a LONG TIME. Crusty, it screamed Ahtlete's Foot infection. Despite requesting for attention to the shower, there was only a weak excuse (no 2nd key?!) for not fixing the problem.

This place is too big, the dorm rooms are very noizy, as there are open window sectios betweeen the rooms and the common facilities.

The place was great, really enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay there again. The staff in particular were superb and went the extra mile (literally) when I lost my phone and needed to divert an airport dropoff to get it. The room was comfortable, slept really well . THe layout created a nice balance between a place to enjoy meeting people and also get needed sleep. Couple of suggestions - bar food could be better, felt we had to go out for dinner, and nearby choices limited

I love jollyboys, the setup is perfect. Really nice stuff who's trying really hard. Only 1 pointer. We had a room just next to a generator or something and it was constantly on and therefor really noisy 24/7

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We have looked into what room you were in and realized that it was the water pump that would have been making the noise. Our builder is currently (right as we type) constructing a housing unit for the pump to limit the noise and increase your comfort. We look forward to hosting you again in Livingstone.

Severe lack of communication from staff re what was available. No smoke free zone. No bed linen. We froze first two nights before we found out from another guest that you could hire blankets. Hired blankets had to be returned in office hours so night before check out had to lie without blanket/sheets. Beds hard and uncomfortable. Wifi system poor - just ate money and no way of disconnecting. Bugs in the beds. Booking activities easy but either no info given or wrong information. Security poor.

Rooms and covered areas are all smoke free and there is signage to this effect. In outside areas and the vast gardens, guests are welcome to smoke. There is signage in all rooms that linen can be obtained with a fully refundable deposit. If you are departing outside of office hours (7am-10pm daily) then the deposit can be claimed from the bar 24 hrs. The WiFi system does go up and down, this being Africa but we aim to have the best system possible for our location.

Jollyboys was the perfect destination for us on our three week visit with our daughter serving in the Peace Corps. Easy access to the center of town - multiple ways to enjoy just hanging around the lodge. Meeting new folks, visiting with coming and going friends, reading, lounging by the pool, setting up one's own meal, enjoying the Jollyboys' menu, there is an attention to detail while also letting the flow happen effortlessly. The owner managers have a deft touch.

Unfortunately, there was somebody in our room (Ngoni) during we got breakfast (Sunday 24/03/2013, between 7:30 and 8am), who probably was searching for money. Fortunately there was no money in my bag and nothing was missing, but it was a bad feeling! I was happy to leave at that day...

Very good — just remember to keep your receipts for everything. Also, the hostel says it provides bottled water, but it just refills the bottle from the tap. Don't worry about it though because the water in Livingstone is good to drink.

Superb stay. Very well run and lovely atmosphere. If I may just make one comment. I found that we were woken up very early each morning by the staff chatting very loudly amongst themselves. We were in Stanley room and the noise seemed to be coming from behind our bedroom. I hope this in helpful.
