This is a nice hostel/hotel with a good location and ambitious owners (also running a cafe downstairs). Well kept and clean, helpful and pleasant people working there. The only drawbacks are that the WiFi does not work through the whole building and if you are looking for a hostel the communal area is more like a hotel's - i.e. not so many people hanging out there or things happening. It is more like a hotel than a hostel but that is not a problem of course, just to be aware of for preference

The staff at the Jordan Tower were really impressive. Jehad and the guys in the cafe downstairs made a point of checking on me – a solo female traveller – during a day trip, keeping an eye on my stuff, finding me someone to explore with, and at one point actually walking me to a sandwich shop for a late dinner. I certainly didn't need all the extra security, but I was touched by the team's kindness in offering it.

Had a single room-en suite. Was perfect. Liked very much the atmosphere of the hostel and location is great. Good breakfast (you can choose between arabic style and continental) and just beside the door when you come out of the hostel is a good cafe-bar-restaurant where you can sit outside. The management/staff of the hostel is very friendly and helpful. Great trip offers with shared taxi!

Though the hostel is at a real noisy spot in downtown, it's a good backpackers hostel. At the desk they arrange daytrips and try to get travellers together to share the cost. the great thing about that is you don't have to shop around for daytours and you might arrange your own trip. Do negotiate about the cost though! We ended up staying 7 nights because of this service. The rooftop terrace is a great hangout place!

My friend and I stay at the Jordan Tower Hostel twice during our vacation. We tried a private room with a shared bathroom and a shared dormitory. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing that was a tad problematic was that for the dormitory floor there was only one bathroom shared between the rooms. We both thought the breakfast was delicious. We also did the Dead Sea Tour, though we suggest the entry prices get updated especially for the beach as it was higher than quoted.

Firstly communication with Hostel staff via email was excellent. Haz organized airport pickup and subsequent car toured Petrathe following day. The hostel is in a very central location in Amman with many small stores and a decent middle eastern restaurant below the hostel. The room as basic but clean. Toilet came with paper and flushed when asked. Shower was hot but poor pressure. WiFi worked very well and the included breakfast was excellent and served from 6:30 am. Old but very well run place.

the shower was broken and the hot/cold water adjust was an either or matter. The room smelled as if there was a humidity issue there, though it looked clean enough. The stairs will make you think twice about the amount of luggage you bring, but the staff is helpful with carrying

An excellent place to stay because the staff here are really wonderful. They are friendly, talkative and really help to make a person's stay worthful and informed AND notably courteous. The breakfast is excellent too and the staff are always ready and willing to offer more. I do however have one complain (which may not affect most people): THE INTERNET situation here is a joke. There's definetely a router and a strong signal, but the speed is positively 3rd world.

Very good hostel right next to Roman theatre. Excellent tasty restaraunt downstairs with excellent staff. The dude at reception with the hat awas really good and informative. The Dead Sea tour is good and amazing to swim in it as well as seeing the sights Amman is very relaxed with nice people and the Citedal is cool overlooking the City! Downtown can be done in an hour. Nice clean rooms and good showers. Breakfast was really good and if anyone complains then they are strange! Super Hostel/Staff

We choose this hostel because of high rating. However, we were kind of disappointed. Mainly because of the shower -- the water is small and hard to adjust the temperature. Also it's not clean and comfortable enough. The location is excellent though. The atmosphere and service are good. Considering the price I actually think there are other choices that may satisfy us better.

The guy on reception (Gihad?) was a star, very helpful. Heather, give him a pay rise. Hazel (?) was also very nice and kind. To be honest I couldn't fault the staff. Great place to stay.

A little rough around the edges, but entirely within reason for a hostel. Perfect location, very helpful staff, friendly common room.

Having run a guest house in Cambodia, i'm more critical than most reviewers, but know a good guest house when i stay in one. This place was a little gem, location was fantastic, but it was the staff that done it for me. Very helpful, very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome for our first 2 nights in Amman. The rooms are not amazing, but for what you pay then they are fine. Breakfasts were great too. Thoroughly recommended.

Great place, nice facilities (for the price), great rooftop view and location, super-helpful and thoughtful staff, very generous free breakfast, and seems to attract a nice crowd (based on when I was there, anyway). The prices for tours and other things they arrange are fair for the region, albeit not the absolute best. Wetrooms are clean but a bit cramped and meager, but that's typical for hostels at this price range. Otherwise I really liked it.

The hotel/hostel is in a good location. It is right near the roundabout where most of the restaurants and stores are. The owner is from the UK and is very helpful and always willing to give travel advice to her guests.

The hotel is in a good location near the Roman Amphitheatre. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The cost of some of the shared trips (just a driver) are quite expensive: we paid 27JD each (5 people) for Aljoun/Jarash OR you could hire a car for 30JD a day. You're not allowed to drink alcohol onsite and there are no bars close (apart from Rainbow St, a good 20min STEEP uphill walk). Breakfast was inc. and very nice. The car rental company recommended was not great, but cheap.
