The hostel is ideal only in summer as its close to beach. In winter, its almost deserted. The owner's dog also sits in sofas, which may not be good gesture for everyone.

Jorplace is a nice sort of "beach hostel". So for a location near the beach it is great. For a location close to the city center of The Hague--then it is a bit far. A short tram ride or a long walk. We were there in the off season so it was quite empty--but I could tell this would be a fun place in the summer. Cute communal areas and nice bathroom. Bedrooms were lacking--just a bunch of bunk beds--but that's all I need.Nice little place witha lot of atmosphere.

They were having the end of the summer party the night I was there and it was super cheap and super fun. They do a great job of making sure everyone is having fun and I had the time of my life. Don't be discouraged that it's far from the city center, it's only a 10 minute tram ride and you are so close to the beach/pier that it's worth it.

Hostel is in a very cool little seaside town, yet very easy to get to by tram. The clientele includes a lot of surfers and is an all-round fun crowd. The staff, however, were constantly absent from the reception desk and generally unhelpful while there. I ended up waiting nearly 15 minutes to check out because the man on duty was in the lounge talking with his friends, even after I came to find him!

fantastic hostel, with Jordie the owner always around. great staff and lots of fun to be had. good location next to the beach and its easy as to get into town. good security, though it would be nice for there to be lockers in the room.

Jorplace was an incredible place. Prime location to beach and fun, clean linens, clean facilities, great breakfast spread. Just a relaxing, fun, and chill environment. Only complaints - 2.5 euro for a towel. And the woman who runs the night shift was really not nice. "I wanna go to sleep so you can't go in there! blah blah" Otherwise, a must stay place.
