Absolutely not value for money. When we booked, breakfast is included but pay 3 euro for a better one. Turn out no breakfast is provided and need to pay 3 euro to order a breakfast. The part about breakfast on the brochure is deleted. Cant bring food and drink to the hostel, most ppl booked hostel bcoz they're in budget, it is unreasonable not allowing food from outside. The table inside dropped suddenly and hurt my foot, afraid to tell the staff as 20 euro deposit is kept in case any damage.

Jorplace hostel is definitely a hippie. At checking-in the waiting time was long. When was finally my turn, i got wrong key cards. In the morning, when trying to get breakfast and check-out, waited more than 30 min for the staff to find the key to the kitchen and then it turned out our deposit of in total 40 euros was gone - there had been a party a night before. In the end we did get a sandwich and a cup of coffee for 5 euros, and our deposit back, but it all took around 1.5 hours.

The bathroom and the toilet were not clean enough at the moment of our stay. No lockers.

Overall it was a good hostel. Very chilled, staff are friendly, great kitchen. Only criticism it did accept large groups of bucks party which does kill the atmosphere a bit in the weekend. There's not much to do around the town apart from the beach. Can hire a bike and The Hague is not too far, but good for a break and to do nothing.

Close to Scheveningen Beach and easy to reach from Den Haag by tram, this is a nice and safe hostel with a lovely common room/bar and outside fireplace. We stayed in the 24 bed dorm which was all right - the beds are in angular corners that allow for some privacy. Definitely enjoyed our stay and will come back. Many thanks to Yvonne from the Delft hostel for the warm welcome on Queen's Day!

SOOO DISSAPOINTED! And warning: there is NO POOL! (even though it says under amenities that it has an 'indoor pool,' 'outdoor pool,' and 'swimming pool'). This is the place to be if you want to be up all night drinking and doing drugs. We did not feel safe walking to the bathroom in the evening, as you have to walk through a dark staircase with random drunk people bumping into you. The overall feel of this place: SCARY

The staff was nice and helpful and the hostel is a cozy surfer-style place super close to the beach of Scheveningen. We stayed in the twin room and had the uppermost floor to ourselves most of the time (offseason). Good guest kitchen which provides anything you need! Towels were not included, but a map of Deen Haag costs 50 cents less than at the tourist office. The only bad thing was that the internet didn't work sometimes 'cause the guest limit was reached. I'd definately recommend this place!

The directions on the website are incorrect if you are coming from Hague Central Station as tram 16 no longer stops at Buitenhof due to roadworks. If you are coming from Amsterdam I would recommend getting off at HS Deen Haag Station (which is before CS anyway) as it is opposite Kneuterdijk on tram 1. I have stayed in nicer dorms for the price I paid but the main thing about Jorplace is the common room, which is the best I've stayed at. Welcoming, good vibe, bar, pool, Foosball etc.

We only stayed one night, but from just one night, our experience was good. Great location, very close to Scheveningen beach, comfy common area with a nice fire to keep us warm. The funky art and the VW bus in the garden gave it a nice unique touch.

Not a great place for meeting people. I didnt' realize it was so far outside the city! Beds were bunked in triples and I banged my head into the upper bed over a dozen times. A few weird long-stay people.

Everithing was great ! except that the barkeeper on satuday evening was not friendly at all (and we were not drunk). whatever we would do, he would come to us and tell us not to do it. (some of us fell asleep in the couch next to the fire, he told us they had to go to their bed, we played calm music and he said it was too loud,...)

The place was really cool! It was a bit quiet in the summer, but I ended up just chilling around the fire with the staff members anyway. We grabbed a guitar and started jamming, and it was really neat. The location is a 20 minute tram ride from Den Haag city centre, but the trams come regularly. Just make sure to be back before the trams stop running (around 1am). Scheveningen is right next to the beach, so that was really nice. Overall, a really enjoyable location!

Jorplace is a really chilled out hostel right near the beach in Scheveningen, and it's easy to get to the Hague on the tram. There weren't many people staying when I was there, but apparently it gets busy in the summer. The staff were awesome, and I spent a fair amount of time just hanging out with them (while they weren't working obviously)! They have a campervan in the garden and a fireplace in the conservatory to keep you warm, overall it's pretty unique.
