I think it's one of the worst hostel that i've ever lived. It's place for about only 20 people and 4 (!) people of staff. I don't really understand why it needs so many stuff, because they have nothing to do: they watching TV and hinder you to make your deals, they get up at 7 am and hinder to sleep. And this place more for Chinese than for foreigners i think. The location is fine, but the total atmosphere is very poor.

Nice hostel. Very helpful staff. I would return if there is more cleanliness and a clothes dryer.

The building is somewhat old and it is full of cockroaches (way more than the China average).

We feel sorry for making your inconvenience. The maid was off during the Spring Festival, we were short of stuff for cleaning, which was a temporary condition. We've made effort to improve our situation and we hope you would come to us again. Have a nice day.

As an inexperienced hostel guest, it took me a while to find the hostel at the top of a building, with no visible signage outside anywhere. (Maybe I'm just an idiot.) The atmosphere was really homey, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hostel.

Toilet stinks a lot and causes discomfort to the room as it was conjoined. Staffs were not as helpful. My booking were given to other traveler because I arrived late to the hostel. Of my entire trip, this is the worst place I slept in

As for the booking, we are sorry to tell you that you got 5-day reservation, but you arrived the 2nd day without any call or email in advanced. So the reservation was cancelled automatically. Spent 3 nights here in 10-bed dorm; converted 2-story apartment with roof access; this was the most social of 20+ hostels I have stayed at so far in China, and found myself chatting, going out exploring with, going to KTV with, and playing cards together with other guests and staff; common area also has movies and comfortable couches; lockers are various sizes but most plenty big; location is residential but 10-15 min walk to subway; bathroom to guest ratio a bit low

Enjoyed my stay at the journey house. The staff were able to speak some English so could provide me with directions and help when needed. The locker that I had in my room was still full of a previous person's belongings which was a bit annoying because it meant I had less room to fit my things. Shower was great, plenty of hot water. The wi-fi worked on and off but generally okay. Would stay again in the future.
