Pros: Excellent location. Good vibe. Good common areas (tho a little small). Free WiFi. Ordinary breakfast. Cons: Toilets flush less than half the time. Poor showers. Not enough toilets. FREEZING in basement rooms (deal-breaker). One of the WiFi connections didnt work. Can't sit upright on beds.

I visit London once a year and I prefer to stay at Journeys King's Cross Hostel for two reasons. Firstly, for the excellent location near King's Cross St Pancras tube station, and secondly for the good value for money. Unfortunately, the Hostel from an aesthetic point of view is much undervalued, and they should ask the help of an Interior Designer. They should also change the colour of the walls inside the rooms. I hope the management of the Hostel, will kindly consider my comments.

I took a shower and almost got wet. Other than that, the place did the job, the staff were friendly, the bed was relatively comfortable and each pod had a powerpoint, which makes life infinitely easier. The lack of lockers in the rooms meant people left a lot more clutter around.

I absolutely loved it at the hostel! The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was good, and got to know my name. I felt very welcome here. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is always cleaning around the hostel, it's great to see. Great job :)

You can't beat the location of Journeys King's Cross hostel as it's only a 5 minute walk from St. Pancras/King's Cross. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was great to be able to leave our luggage stored there while we waited for check in time as we got there a bit early. The hostel was quite loud at night, with people running up and down the stairs and hallway at all hours so I wouldn't recommend it if you are a light sleeper or simply value your sleep.

The staff were not there 24/7... during the morning around 7am we needed them but the reception was closed. You have to go to the 3rd floor to take a shower, the bathroom was clean, but takes some minutes to get hot water, and just few water. The beds are noisy because they are made of metal. The location is very very good ... close to the main tube lines and st pancras station

In my opinion this hostel is one of the worst I have been into. I found a specially horrible detail the fact you have to pay for left your lugagge the day you do the check out. I slept in a room in the basement, I found that specially dangerous in case of emergency. My bedroom was not suitable for so many beds, many of them in ten centimetres above the floor. In Spanish we have a word for this: cutre.

this hostel isn't far from King's cross but the street is dark and very noisy all the night. I heard car noise and altercations. I do not think this location is safe. the room light turns off automatically so that we have to turn on the light every time. shower is weak and not hot. the only good aspect of this hostel is cheep. but I never use this hostel again.

Doors don't lock automatically so there's every chance that you might get someone walking in unannounced so make sure you close the door properly. Internet connection can be a bit of a hazard too so be prepared. On the whole though, it's a nice little place though whether you want a quiet stay or to socialise.

this place is ridiculously tiny. the rooms are about the size of a peanut and have like 10 triple-bulk beds cramped in there... there's not even place for luggage, and thats not only in the rooms, but the halls, the stairs, the kitchen and the common rooms as well... not recommended.

The room was ok, the window would shut but didn't keep out the noise or the cold. The showers were the biggest disappointment.

Staff hung around the kitchen and living room often, leaving no space for customers to sit. They slept on the couches during the day, and drank late into the night. The laundry door was kept open all day, making some accomodations very cold. Showers had no hot water in the mornings.

Close to Kings Cross- great location. No major problems, but when we got to the first room one of the beds was taken so we were given another room and it didn't take too long. Overall pretty good.

The rooms are small but a large room isn't needed if you're going to be in London all day. The bed was nice but extremely loud when you wanted to turn over. The bathroom was clean but you have to know that those are extremely small so if you can't change in there. The breakfast though, was really dissapointing. No working toaster, no milk to take any other muesli and really poor coffee. If you go anywhere else for breakfast it' s good for an average hostel for a student and short travel.

I've been on journeys. Good location, but there is a problem. A worker at the hostel rooms with clients and splits this boy often drink too much alcohol, and rude and argue with customers as if he owned the place. The boy called Agues was the only problem on the spot. One day I saw him grabbing a beer from the fridge a client without permission. That to me is unacceptable. Besides the boy always makes jokes and racist comments about the customers site. This kind of people is bad for your bussine

My room was a cupboard, with not enough space to place the people's luggage. Also, the staff was reluctant to accept a scottish bill.
