Why? Because Jovitas hostel is a great hostel, the best place to enjoy the caleo spirit, with caleos: fun, kindness, friendship, salsa culture and latin fiesta.
Jovitas Hostel is a huge house with very comfortable spaces, gardens, internet and TV lounge with 24-hour home theater, game room, mini bar, and many more surprises!!!
Sandra, Aura, Cecilia, Katy and Carlos are always willing to share the great Caleo heart and show our guests the most important salsa bars, the fantastic local food, the Caleo-salsa culture, the permanent and unique cultural events for free as well as other outdoor activities in beautiful, natural settings. Most important of these being the Caleo people.
We are the only hostel in Colombia that offers professional salsa and latin dance classes with world champion salsa instruction (Son De Luz) and also professional yoga classes (ishka yoga), for free!!
But we still have more for free!!!!: Mini Bar; Gym, Game Zone, 24 hours Internet and Wi-Fi, 24 hours 42 TV with Home Theater!!!, Conferences about salsa culture and guided tours to the best salsa bars.
Jovitas Hostel is centrally located in the quiet, safe, historic BARRIO SAN ANTONIO, preferred by everyone and is a great place to chill out and meet the nicest local people in its park, restaurants and at the best cafs.
We are within walking distance of Calis hottest night life: Barrio El Peon, Alameda, Granada and La Sexta (Zona Rosa), plus numerous bars like TIin Tin Deo, cafs and restaurants.
Jovitas Hostel is a few blocks from Calis historical center, with museums, churches, cultural attractions and places for leisure. Close by is the trail to El Cerro de Las Tres Cruces (the hill with the three crosses), a challenging and popular climb, whose summit offers a spectacular Calis view of the city. We are only one block from the famous Calle Quinta (Fifth Street) and very close to the Pascual Guerrero Soccer Stadium.

Descent place to stay, but under construction right now & will be for quite some time which makes it difficult to stay there ... Very loud & dirty. One of those places that provides the bare minimum & little more ... Had private room ... Dirty when arrived with plenty garbage in wastebasket still, dirty bathrooms, say hot water but not, don't have maps of the city...but have two cozy hammocks! Fine place to stay if you need a bed for a night maybe two tops but just stick with the dorm rooms!
