I loved staying at this hostel, it was probably one of the highlights of my trip. Had a free salsa class every day, made some great friends and saw some unbelievable dancing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes salsa or would like to learn. The hostel is also in a funky part of town - the restaurant over the road is awesome and cheap - ask for Giovanni. Instructors are also excellent and can offer private lessons, and even got a personal shopping advisor in Diana from the front desk

Jovitas was one of the best hostels I've stayed in because of the people there. Met some of the best people on my trip in only a few short hours and many Cali locals like to hang out at the hostel and take you out on an amazing night out on the town. Highly recommend and will be coming back hopefully soon.

Jovitas is great for it location, free salsa lessons, and yoga. This hostel was very dirty, bugs surrounded the kitchen tv room, and our bedroom (i have bites all over my legs). There is no character, white walls, no windows in most the rooms, very uninviting we never wanted to be there. The staff doesnt speak english, which is fine, but they didnt make any effort to help us plan activities or see things in Cali. The hostel has so much potential, but no one there seems to care. The place isgross

El barrio es una de las mejores opciones, por su situación y seguridad. El hostal es economico y decente para su precio. El personal correcto pero tampoco se desviven por ayudar.

We stayed four nights at Jovita's Hostel in January and we enjoyed it a lot. We got a private room with bathroom and I have nothing to complain about. Beds were great, staff was really friendly, no noise during the night, which is a big deal for me. I could even receive some guests and have dinner with them in that nice living area. We took salsa lessons and it was great! I can't really evaluate the other area with shared rooms because I hardly ever went there but I really loved our stay!

Not a very welcoming place, rooms were tiny and door didnt shut properly so room was full of mozzies and we weren't even given a bed sheet.

The hostel employees know the nightlife and they often organize groups to go out at night. They are careful about getting you to clubs and back home safely, too. At the hostel Adriana and Kelly are very pro-active when it comes to keeping guests quiet late and night and in the morning while others are still asleep. I liked that.

Jovitas is packed with energy, always willing to help with a smile- even when answering the door at 3am. Relaxing by day and energetic by night, you can always find something to do, or soemthing to see a short distance away.

overall the experience was excellent, however some obvious minor improvements could be made at very minimal costs that would result a big improvements, for example move the door bell to the staff quarters so every person in the entire house does not need to be awaken every time someone wants to come in all night long, enforce after midnight quiet rules, install some shelves and places to hang clothes, paint is cheap
