Staff is unfriendly and the hotel is really raw. The staff didn]t tell us anything about the dangers of taking a taxi in dar es salam alhoug we had asked them which is the best way to go to the port to take the ferry to zanzibar. We took a taxi from a guy that basically had been stalking Juba hotel for new targets to rob. To make a long story short me and my two friends got brutally kidnapped and robbed by this guy and his friends that drove the taxi . Juba Hotel staff is probably with them!

It is good value for money. One thing bothers me, why do mosquito nets have holes in them? We asked to change but had got the same.

With Juba you get what you pay for. Arrived late at night, and cab driver from the airport was clearly nervous about the surrounding area and had a police officer on the street escort us the half block from the taxi to the hotel entrance. Did not feel comfortable leaving the room the remainder of the evening. A/C in the room did not work, was about 90 degrees F. Toilet was broken and shower only had cold water. On the plus side, there did seem to be adequate security and staff was friendly.

Seedy place but decent effort to keep it clean. Plenty of water for the shower. Very nice staff.

The staff were really helpful, and the restaurant attached next door was really good for a quick snack (although they run out of a lot of their food later in the day). Good for a one night stopover en route to Zanzibar - 20 min walk to the ferry (just walkable with a heavy pack).

As far as dar es salaam goes, this place is o.k (for the money!) Best served as a bed for a night, you wouldn't want to spend a long time here. Did have a fan, missile net but noises at night.

Stayed very shortly in Juba, due to early flight, but it provided what I needed and hoped for. Very helpful staff, organizing a taxi at a good rate. Comfortable room, basic but totally sufficient. Hot water in the showers. Aircon quite noisy, no elevator and tv not working. Nice, cheap restaurant next door.
