Pretty decent hostel. What I found incredibly annoying, however, was that you're told to check out by 10 am, yet on the morning of my check out a guy came into my room at 8:30 am, even though I had locked the door, and when he saw I was still in bed, he left without saying anything or closing the door behind him. I've seen other guests comment about this as well. It's really not difficult. If you want people to leave earlier, set an earlier check out time. No other complaints though. Great WiFi.

The private room was very spacious and cozy. I liked the breakfast and the staff were extremely friendly. It is slightly far away from HBF but very close to the s bahn metro station making it a really good choice.

Excellent. It's even unbelievable that paying so little, we got so much, no additional costs, no problems whatsoever, staff very helpful and friendly, they really care about their guests and want them to feel good. Colourful, very tidy and clean, bright, and most importantly for students - cheap! Almost forgot - great breakfast included! Highly recommend for everyone.

really good value for money and although not in the centre, the s bahn is less than 5 minutes away and is so easy to use. A pity there was only a voil in the bedroom though, woke with the sun!

there was no isolation, we could hear neighbor snoring and all the people that were walking behind the door. It was impossible to sleep before 12:00 and after 6:30 in the morning.

Nice, cosy place, although not exactly in the centre, the hostel is next to an underground station, easy to get around. Delicious and abundant breakfast. Very friendly staff

Very good facility for this price, very kind staff. It's very close to a station, so it isn't a problem it isn't close to the city centre. But, if you want to enjoy Berlin's nightlife, trains only ride until midnight, so then you have to take a long cab drive.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. This hostel is only 2 minutes walk to S bahn and it is a bus stop just in front of the hostel so it is very easy to get to those attractions. The price is unbeatable and the breakfast is perfect!

I would improve the room door quality. Current ones do not isolate any noises, I really mean any! :)

Great hostel overall. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is very good. The owner was helpful and although the microwave broke on the first night, he replaced it straight away. The only downsides are that it takes a long time to get the the centre if Berlin on the subway. Also the cooking facilities are limited - just a microwave and fridge.

Not really sure if I'd recommend. The train to Mitte is right next to the hostel but it takes at least 20 minutes. If you're looking to go to Kreuzberg, you have to transfer to another train. The private rooms are cheap, but understand that you're going to be travelling a lot.

Very nice hostel with good helpful staff. The rooms were clean and tidy. However, the reception wasn't 24 hours and so anyone could potentially come in the main door as there weren't any additional security features. It isn't really a place to meet people as it's further out in the city by about 20 minutes so unfortunately the location isn't great. The showers could also be improved as they have a push button that is on a timer that randomly stops so you have to keep on pressing it.

Great hostel that really warms on you. Not central but still easy to get to from - basically an extra few stops on the S-Baun in reality. Rooms are big (not cramped like most hostels). Breakfast has huge selection. Nice outdoor 'beer' garden. Great mix of guests (inc Germans). Best - it's a 1/3 of the price of other hostels so great value for money. My recommendation to the hostel is to improve the kitchen as it's only a microwave and fridge for guests. 2nd is expand the WiFi to the lounge.

The staff is really awesome. Reception isn't 24 hrs but they are very accommodating, just contact them. Breakfast is included which is beautiful and the place is kept spotless. 25 mins outside Berlin but the station is right there. VERY easy to get to and from. I highly recommend to anyone. For the price, you can't beat it.

The staff at Jugendgästhaus Lichterfelde were so friendly and welcoming. They really take care of you there, and they are very willing to help. Unfortunately there only seems to be Wifi connection on the ground floor. There is a very nice, shady lounging area with picnic tables and benches in the garden where you can also access internet and relax, talk with people, etc. The location is removed from the center of the city and in a nice neighborhood. Very near the Osdorfer Straße S-bahn stop.

Outside Berlin (but the description is actually right, it only takes 15/20 minutes to the center but still...), the front door was always open, there were NO LOCKERS in the rooms, only one bathroom for the entire floor..: The list goes on. But at least the breakfast was amazing, the staff was very friendly and it was close to the osdorfer strasse s-bahn station.

This is a YOUTH hostel, meaning it can be pretty loud at nighttime when you're trying to sleep. We didnt really think of that, and it was pretty annoying but everything else was great except the shared bathroom could use a better clean. Included breakfast and very good price made it an enjoyable visit still tho.

Everything is ok, they are kind and have a good service even the price is good but the last day someone stole all my money so if you will be there you need to keep your valuable things and don't trust nobody

Beds were very uncomfortable and left us with backpains. Only 1 out of 4 lamps worked in the bathroom. Only 2 out of 3 showercurtains worked in the baths. Sweet and very friendly lady at reception. Great internet in the room. Nice and cosy courtyard, quiet and tranquil atmosphere. Not located in the centre of Berlin but very easy to get there with train (20 minutes). Breakfast was ok but not as good as the wonders we were expecting after reading all of the reviews about the awesome breakfast.
