Very nice place, if it was in every city, Iwould prefer to stay there all the time. Alot of people with families, but also young people. Doesn't look at all like an overcrowded and dirty hostel for drinkers. Nice food at all you can eat breakfast that is incuded into the price. Also not stinky as many hostels are. What I didn't like is increased price for those who are older than 26. Beutiful terrase near the canteen with a view at the port. Probably the best possible location.

The place and surrounding was absolutely fantastic. You can see the port just from the balcony. The bar environment was also fantastic. But need to maintain regular toilet cleaning. It was nasty to walk on barefoot at the toilet. But all in all, it was a wonderful place to leave. Will come back again.

Great service and staff. Great food too.

It says this is a "youth" hostel...in actuality, I was the youngest in my hostel room at age 20, and I was rooming with women in their late 50's early 60's. The rooms were insufferably hot. They also charged 4 EURO TO RENT TOWELS, which has been the most expensive rate I've seen. Staff gave unspecific recs. It has a great location, a couple sketchy people hang around, but security is great. If you aren't traveling with a large family or a 50 something flying solo, this is not the place to stay.

There were a lot of teen groups in the hostel.

I lived in a dorm that was located next to the stairways and it was very noisy outside the whole time. People running around and screaming. The breakfast close to early, already at 0930! The breakfast itself was very nice and only thing i missed was eggs, but that is kinda uncommon in hostels anyway! They have a optional dinner for 7,5 euro, well worth it with decent food. The place is very well located next to the big party street. Also fairly close to the "museum area".

There were an additional fees. We had to pay a fee for the age (older than 27years - add 4 euro to your booking price), additional fee was in case you are not a member of international hostel association or something like that + city tax. Additional fees were not mentioned in the final price

Our stay here was excellent! The hostel was clean, secure, we had our own toilet and shower in our room, and the location was unbeatable. The free breakfast was also pretty good. The only problem I had with the hostel was that they made us purchase a Hosteling International Card which was 3 euros extra per night, which wasn't too expensive, but I wish we had known about it before we got there.

Great hostel! the only thing i would maybe complain about would be the fact you can only get 24hour wifi and not unlimited. Everything else, the food, the staff and the rooms was really great!

Things are awesome here. Beautiful views (becuz it locates on the mountain on the harbor side). Delicious breakfast included, huge common room with lots facilities. (You can even buy a pizza by using the renting machine). The only thing you should concern is you should have a YHA card or extra fee required. Overall, wonderful hostel!

Really great hostel. I recommend it. Plus, breakfast is awesome

It looks more like an hotel, it's really huge, with a dining room where you can have breakfast and diner or spend time, a really big terrace and a small park in front of it. The atmosphere is really quiet, and no people at all in the common rooms, just families with children. It's really close to everything, so you can reach by feet the harbour in 2 min, reeperbahn in 15 min, st.pauli in 20 min. More recommended to families than groups of young people.
