in an OK location around 10 minutes walk to old town. Good breakfast is provided as part of the cost which is always good. down side is the extra fees for not being a HI member (most other HI hostels give cardholders discount rather than charge non HI members extra) and if you are over 26 -ouch! Another 4€ a night because for some reason older people cost more??? So if not a member and over 26 other options may be much cheaper. if you area couple then a hotel may actually be cheaper.

Clean with friendly staff, but WiFi would have improved the stay.

The hostel was very good generally. The location is good (~10 mins walk to the Rathaus), the hostel is clean and the breakfast is a nice extra. Only criticism is lack of free WiFi. It may sound like I'm being picky, but in this day and age I think charging for WiFi in Hostels/Hotels is something that shouldn't be done. Thankfully, Lubeck has a good citywide WiFi that you can use in the centre, but it would have been nice to have it in the hostel (for free).

Definitely not a hostel to meet people and enjoy the atmosphere but clean rooms and short walk to town. Great breakfast to start the day.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Julia. The hostel is in a residential area outside the old city, so it is peaceful. But five minutes walk or less puts you into the old city and all the sites. An excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, great showers. The guest kitchen is small, but apparently not used much. It serves. As does the laundry. A very satisfying stay.
