Great place to stay and helpful accomodating staff. However, not the best part of Quito to stay - need to take taxi to get to safer areas.

Louis, the owner picked me up by at the airport and he made me feel very welcome. The hostel is in the middle of the storical centre, everything is in short walking distance. The place was very quiet so I could have a very peaceful rest after the long flight. The next day I got a very good breakfast, an the owners gave me some of the coco they produce at their own farm a few kilometers away from Quito. Louis provided me with information on what to do in the area and took me for a tour to Quilotoa

We stayed at the Jumbo Lodge for 6 days. It was a great experience. Louis and his family are wonderful! Their hostel is very clean and comfortable. They were very helpful to all of all our needs, and a pleasure to be around.

the family who owned it were fantastic, they really went out of their way to accommodate us well. plus breakfast was awesome. Louis was a great help with things to do in Quito. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone going there! We wish we could've stayed longer.

Owner Luis and family are really friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them, from advice about Quito and Ecuador to help learning Spanish. The breakfast is great and keeps you going all day! Location is great, we never felt unsafe and its just a 15 min walk to the sights of old town. Taxi back from the bars and restaurants in Mariscal cost us only $3. Dont expect a great shower but thats the same wherever you stay around here. (temperature and pressure not very reliable)
