Staff were excellent and went out of their way to help. However the beds were rock hard and very difficult to sleep on.

A lil' bit hard to find, but only because the street number it's written on a wooden mailbox not much visible from the street. I recommend to put a bigger sign in front of the hostel and on the street. Besides that, very friendly staff, dorm room was ok, famiy room and private rooms are really nice.

It could be nicer if a bit cleaner... standard twin rooms were really basic and kind of dirty... deluxe twin room was nicer but hot water was very slow to come... and in the top floor we didn't have the wi-fi (too far away from the reception). price should be lower just because of the location... few things to visit around, not in the city center. the owner was kind but I still think that for Xiamen maybe it's not the best choice.

Located in a really confusing area. You have to catch a taxi to find it otherwise you will get lost. There aren't much things to see around there either. bus all the time! The dorm is just a basement which is directly linked to the reception and it can be quite noisy and all the smoke comes down directly. (for the dorm, you don't get the key or a locker) Staff are actually nice enough but they will share the dorm if the dorm's empty and they smoke inside, I didnt like that.

At June Hostel, my first impression was that I got in to a small hostel, Mrs Lu Chantal and her husband makes you stay confortable and easy, if you look for a hostel that has a great atmosphere and good service in Xiamen, this is the place to go, they will make you feel like home, besides, is close to the beach and to the bus station that takes you everywhere that is important in xiamen, less than 10 mins ride.

I've had a great time in this hostel. Its pretty small but very charming. The owners are supernice people and Chantal even came to pick me up when I arrived. She showed me around in the neighbourhood and nice places to eat and what to do. Her husband cooked sichuan style noodles which were delicious. The social security makes up for not having a lock on the door. Also the bed was pretty hard which was no problem for me but might be for others. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at so far. Super clean and large rooms with a lot of character, good facilities and even a nice backyard garden to hang out in. A little difficult to find but phoning the staff and having them direct a cab driver was no problem. A bus station is a few minutes walk and the buses are quite cheap but crowded. The hostel neighborhood village has lovely cafes, bars and whatnot for a relaxed evening vibe. Highly recommended!

Had a great time at June Hostel! Chantal, the owner, is a great host - she picked us up from the bus stop (hostel is not that easy to find if you don't know the way), showed us the area and even invited us to a tasty dinner on one evening! Though a bit outside Xiamen, getting around by bus is easy and in the neighbourhood of the hostel there are many nice little bars and restaurants. The room (double suite) was one of the best I've seen in a hostel and everything was really clean.

Chantal and her staff are absolutely wonderful. The hostel is within walking distance to the beach and she was great about showing us around and getting us set up for our days adventures. The buidling is small but she does well with up keep of it all. If I come back to Xiamen I will definitely be staying here again and have already recommended to several friends.

This is a nice clean and well situated hostel - it is in an area with many other hostels which is near to the beach, although be sure to remember the directions you are given, which we didn't ;-p. It is a little bit out of the centre of Xiamen, but this is good as it is a nice, laid back area (the aforementioned beaches notwithstanding). The rooms are quite basic, but clean (although towles would help). The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great place! The area is very nice and quiet, lots of bars, restaurants, shops and the beach are close by, easy transportation to downtown. The hostel itself is very cosy, nice rooms, and the host Chantal is just awesome. She walked us to a lot of places and made a great effort to make our stay as comfy as possible. I highly recommend June Hostel!
