in a central location with easy access to several bus stops, all the amenities you could ever need including a great little blues bar and streetfood style cafe just over the bridge. bangkok is expensive and although this place is relatively cheap, it's still expensive for what you get I.e. budget backpacker style rooms, etc. but this place has good wifi in the lobby and friendly staff. they have a fridge in the lobby too with cold beer, coffee, soft drinks, and a cafe upstairs.

Good hostel. Good security into the building as they put a security guard on at night. Close enough to kho San road to walk, far away enough to sleep.

Unhappy staff, kinda dirty, extremely small room. Beds were pretty comfy for Thailand.. Cold water, good location. Would not stay again.. Better places around for cheaper.

Good location, nice staff. We stayed one night in a private room with fan. The room was a bit grimy. Yes, there are ants in the bathroom, and the walls were dirty. But it is fine for one or two nights. You leave your key at the front desk when you go out during the day, so you have the option to lock your room door with your own padlock. We did this and did not have any problems. There are better places you could stay, but this is fine if you don't have other options.

I stayed 2 nights and didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was clean and I felt safe. It is a 10-15 min walk from koh San road which kept the area quiet yet accessible. I would definitely recommend k.s. Guesthouse as a place to stay if you are out during the day as there isn't much of a common area to meet people.

The location is unbeatable, so close to Kaosan Rd but far enough not be be annoyed by the noise. However, we had a towel for bed linnen and the shower only had cold water.
