Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice room, great location, great kitchen and common area. K's House Mt. Fuji has it all. If you're looking to go up Yoshida trail, you couldn't find a better location. 2/5 of us went up Gotemba - not an idea location but we made it work. The hostel also had abandoned hiking poles for my friends who didn't plan ahead. Very nice. K's House rules!
This hostel was average and nothing was spectacular. Its literally the only hostel option for Mt Fuji. The pick up service is nice and they drop you off at the end of your stay but they will not let you use the shuttle service otherwise. The walk from the bus/train station is at least 20min and difficult to find if navigating for the first or even second time. PRO: The hostel is located within 10min walking from Lake Kawaguchiko where you can take spectacular photos of Mt Fuji at sunrise.
Staff was extremely helpful, and very friendly! Location is kind of far from Kawaguchiko train station, but easy enough to find with their directions, and is within walking distance of some good restaurants and a pretty lake. Great atmosphere, especially if climbing Mt. Fuji is on your itinerary; large common room and kitchen, great for cooking and making new friends. Everything was clean and well-kept.
Three of us stayed in the a private japanese room and it was really comfortable and lovely. Definitley recommend it over the western styled rooms. Clean toilets and showers with fantastic kitchen facilities. We did the overnight sunrise climb on Fuji (definitely do it!!!) and felt great and comforted resting our tired bodies at the hostel after. Pick up service is great and the walk isn't far from the station otherwise.
An excellent hostel for a base to climb / see Fuji. Stayed in 3 K's hostels in Japan and couldn't fault any of them. K's are by far the World's cleanest hostels I've ever stayed in and have travelled all over the World
Great location! Very friendly and helpful staff.
location was nice but inconvinient to get in to town. the place makes up for it with a good atmospere and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. the beds were very compfortable but there was little space for privacy in the room. one very nice thing i found out is that there are room with the traditional matts on the flor and nice japanese decoration. hope to be able to try it out one day!

This a good hostel with all the facilities you need to have a comfortable stay. The staff were also helpful with planning things to do in the area. The only down side to staying here was that there were very few other solo travellers, so it was difficult to meet people. There were a lot of families, couples, older travellers etc. and not many young people travelling alone. Otherwise a good hostel.
The hostel is not 7 minutes walk from the train station, it is about 18 minutes walk. Would be helpful if provide daily shuttle at certain timing instead of just the to/from for check in and check out. The facilities really good and clean!
