This hostel is located on the main street - very noisy even in the night. I booked space ahead. It is expensive considering low standard - the cubic rooms are 2,5 by 3 m, no windows in the dorms, limited light, shared baths. For the same price it was possible to have a room with a bath in the beach hotel (low season). Free internet means 30 min allowance, but only on the first day of your stay. If you speak Spanish you will have a great time with the staff as I went out with them. However, they dont speak English. The best thing about it is the beds, very comfy. the breakfast was great, there were games we could play, the rooms had some AC...the beds were comfy. We got sunburnt and the staff slashed an Aloe leaf for us. Sheets got dirty and new ones were given to us free of charge. The bathrooms were clean, didn't stink and had soap and toilet paper. Our first impressions of K3 were not good. The outside and reception were not inviting or welcoming - both could do with an upgrade. Some of the rooms were depressing, with no natural light. We found the staff very helpful and security reasonably good. would have liked access to safety deposit boxes. The location was great for the night life. I am used to youth hostelling, but I would not recommend this hostel, as I think standards of cleanliness and decor are not good.Our first impressions of K3 were not good. The worst hostel ive ever stayed in. The manager was really unfriendly.Rooms are so small its rediculous.They kept turning off the air conditioning when i was trying to sleep. The kitchen is pathetic, not alot you could cook in there. They charge for internet. They wouldnt give our deposit back so we had paid an extra 250 pesos so i would class them as thieves.Good luck if you end up staying there!!!The worst hostel ive ever stayed in.
