This hostel was ok but we faced a few problems: First, we had to pay the full price of our room because the lady at the front desk (who only spoke spanish) didn't realize that Hostelworld makes us prepay 10% of the room, so that sucked. Plus, there's no tv and no internet (wifi but it never worked for us) and Ollantaytambo is pretty dead at night so we were bored out of our minds before bed. However, it was clean, with hot showers, and a decent breakfast which is more than you can say elsewhere!

This hotel is too expensive for the facilities he offers. In Ollantaytambo you can find easely much better and for half the price!!! (60 sol a too star hotel instead of the 34 dollars here). Try the Orchids "Orquidees hotel" very good quality/price and cosy.

Everyone at KB Tambo Hostal were SO wonderful! We had a family emergency during our stay, and they did everything they could to help us.

This is the most expensive hostel we paid in Peru. It is in a good location, but it is on the main road where lots of cars and buses are going by all the time. Some of the staff do not speak English but they will get you someone else if you wait. On the night we stayed, there was no hot water for showers, they did give some of the money back to us.

Great location for the mini bus to Cusco & train to MP. We stayed in a private double which was clean & spacious. Breakfast is basic, 1x coffee & 2 slices of bread (no refills) which was a bit poor £25 a night. Wifi is ample for such a tiny town. Staff were pleasant. Tours to Moray is cheaper if u just get a mini bus / taxi who will wait for u.

A very nice place but make sure the staff understand the deposit system when paying at the end as seems to be some confusion. Also beware if staying straight after a trek as there was no hot water at 9pm. Otherwise a great place!!

Simple hostel. Stayed in the double bed room out the back which was fine. Nothing special but would stay here again.

Usual Peruvian excuse on the rain causing poor connectivity of the wifi. Excellent view of the ruins at roof level. Walking distance to the ruins, plaza and railway station (10 minutes). Ensuite bathroom has no exhaust. We had to open the room door that faces the courtyard for ventilation. Probably we would rate it higher if breakfast were included from value for money point of view. Generally okay for one sleep.

Beautiful. Best hostel in Peru so far. Off the square but awesome location relative to the 2 best restaurants: Hearts Cafe and Puka Rumi. Near the artisan center, 10-min walk to train, close to ruins. Great view. Best hot shower! Comfortable beds. Clean, modern, pretty. Somewhat friendly staff, but not much interaction, so ok. Hotel feel. No communal computer or kitchen - bummer. Should invest in printer. Biggest complaint: MAJORLY annoying water leak in shower and no bathroom mat over wet tile.

Nice staff, great location, clean and tidy place to stay but when we booked this we were under the impression that it was a hostel which is not the case. There is no communal kitchen (although the staff were kind enough to provide utensils to allow me to prepare my food) but the main issue we had was that the place was completely closed during the day which for us was really inconvenient, especially given that the price for the room was a bit higher than other places in the same area.
