The beds were brick hard, the cubicles echoed every word anyone said and our cubicle was right next to the office area so we were kept awake by the telephone ringing, computer printer going and The Jungle Book movie being played through the PC late at night. There was no toilet paper and the bathroom was not clean. We were charged more than twice what we were quoted online and it was definitely NOT worth it. Plenty of better options in the same area for less money!!!

Just away from the main street in Tanah Rata (simple 3min walk!), this is a lovely quiet hostel - simply but good facilities (good showers, bathrooms, WI-FI etc.). The staff are very helpful and willing to help/answer any questions on the area, trips and hiking routes. There are no shared cooking/kitchen facilities but they off breakfast and dinner at prices comparable with the cheapest on the main street. For the low price you couldn't ask for more, I'd highly recommend.

(+) Loved the location of the guest house. Pretty close to the town center, but at the same time a bit off the main road, so it has a cozy feel. The staff were very helpful and nice. They gave good recommendations for things to do. (-) A good night's sleep would often depend on how considerate the fellow travelers are in the guest house because of the thin wall partitions. Overall, couldn't really ask for more for the price we paid. Would stay here again!

Lady owner was lovely. We had to pay for breakfast and tea/coffee. On 1st night the guy wouldn't make dinner for us "as his chef colleague had left already" even when the kitchen was open for 2 more hours. But he did help us with our shower when I couldn't get hot water. Nice garden area with seating/tables. Close to restaurants and staff booked us a taxi for when we left. Only a few minutes from main bus station. Booked our jungle tour for us

Stayed 2 nights in the 4 bed dorm. The size of the room is good, the beds are quite noisy but it´s good value for money. There are 2 clean bathrooms (wet rooms, toilet plus shower) for each boys and girls. Shared rooms are on the ground floor, private rooms on the first floor. The building is locked at 23.30 but there is nothing to do anyway in town after that time. The owner is very nice and helpful re hiking trails or other local information. She also arranged a really good transfer. Recommend

It was overall OK but in room G8, the bunkbeds are way too squeeky! We had trouble sleeping because of That. Every move could wake up the others...

Great place to stay! Only 5 minutes away from the town centre. Matresses are a bit thin and it gets a bit cold at night with only one blanket and the wifi doesn't always work, but they have a restaurant that serves great breakfast and the laundry service is quick and cheap. Would stay there again!

A bit of a hippie hostel. Some like it some don´t. the security precautions are terrible nevertheless I never feared for my belongings. the loudest beds in the world ! nice staff - very helpful

Really nice guest house with a beautiful garden and chilling neighbourhood. The room was ok, like malaysian standard and the people great. The staff however was a little bit sleepy but really helpfull for booking day trips. The breakfast wasn't includet, but to get for less Ringit. For dinner it's better to go in the reastauants and food courts nearby. We really have enjoyed our stay and the quiteness and nicer temperature after Singapore and KL.

Good location, nice garden, clean rooms + washrooms and friendly staff. Though somewhat noisy because of the very thin walls, and there's no storage space in the dorms. Even no lockers. I realise you just can't expect to much for 20RM.

+ Just a short walk from Tanah Rata. - Has a curfew. - The walls are extremely thin. - There is no atmosphere.

Staff helpful, able to book onward travel etc. WiFi doesn't reach most of the rooms. Accommodation is basic, a bit dated but fine. Good location, 2 mins walk from the main street. It was clean and only £7, so can't complain.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are a bit small and with all the wet clothes from the rain it can get really humid inside. I really loved the garden.

Had good info about tours/ hikes you could do in the area. The lady who works reception is really nice too.

Helpful and very friendly staff. Quiet location but still close to everything. Nice garden but sadly without fire! Everything is cleaned regularly. Beds are comfortable but the loft beds are damn loud. All in all no real reason to complain. Had a nice time and met many nice people.

Should have more power socket points in the dorms & lobby. Guests were not allowed to use the kitchen.
