I think Kabata is a a great hostel to stay at. It is in a great location for the city centre, just a five to ten minute walk. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. Mauricio, Nina, Paulo and the team make you feel very at home. Would definately stay here again.

i was the only one there at the time, so my experience may have been a little different, but you have to be let out of the building by the receptionist, who didn\'t stay at the desk, so everytime i left i had to look for the receptionist. a bit annoying. otherwise the people were nice. near the museum of jade and prob 10 minute walk from the bus station.

not much in the way of breakfast. they advertise a ´full´breakfast. it´s not, unless you call toast and coffee a full breakfast.

The hostel was as expected. We only stayed one night and left early the next morning. The staff was extremely helpful in finding a rental car place and giving us advice on driving around costa rica.

I really liked Kabata hostel. It is family owned and has a really nice, comfortable vibe. I felt very safe there as well. The best part is the three family cats that roam the hostel. One came into our room and cuddled all night - bonus!
