It was the slow season so there weren't that many guests but the staff was helpful which made for a good experience.

I really liked Kalagen hostel!!Decoration is great,very colourful.A big, confortable living room to watch movies or just chill out. The staff was so friendly! specially Alejandro, Edgar and Cristian, the owner of the hostel, always eager to help. And the matress and pillow... mmm delicouos to sleep all day long! haha. Almost forget, good location , a couples of block from the bus station and from the city center. Thank you all for your hospitality. I know where i'll stay the next time in Viña!!!

The hostel was plenty of children (running everywhere) when supposedly children wasn't allowed...

Great location, but bed bugs!!

The second day my bed was no prepared. Bathrooms are always dirties, the same for the kitchen and the receptionist (a blonde foreign woman) don’t understand Spanish and don’t know how to help us)

It was a very nice place, very clean but the staff controls how much you eat at breakfast, and they don't know if you stay or leave, so they are capable to kick you out if you don't explain your situation in a right way. Era un lugar lindo y limpio pero el staff controla cuánto comés en el desayuno y no sabe si te quedás o te vas, por lo que son capaces de echarte si no les explicas bien la situación.

It was ok...reception staff could learn to be a bit more friendly and approachable. The cleaners were lovely.

Well, there are bed bugs in the beds!!

It's a good hostel but it can be loud sometimes. The staff is friendly and is willing to help with a wide variety of needs. The breakfast is good and location is right in the middle of everything good!

You are looking for a quite place to sleep? Kalagen Hostel is definetly the wrong place for you! Here you can meet nice people from all over the world and party all night. Best party hostel I've stayed at.

The staff were awesome and we loved that they organized activities every night. Staff were very helpful and always available to answer questions. The rooms were clean, met lots of cool people there. The location was great too!

Thanks to Fransisca (Kalagens "social-planner") we had a fantastic time at Kalagen hostel, she took us out partying and to the beach of Renaca, so helpful, friendly and fun to be around. The staff in general was friendly, and the cleaners do an excellent job.The kitchen is well equipped and the breakfast is ok +. The only negatives is that the water in the shower was either way too hot or way too cold, and that the lockers are poorly made and easy to break.But, all in all a wonderful time!

The bathrooms were really gross, it didn´t seem like the staff spent much time cleaning any of the hostal. We were located a couple rooms away from the bar area and the hostal was partying till 3 am blasting music.

We would never go again to Kalagen-Hostel. Although the Hostel is very nice, the Living Room with the Couches and the possibility to watch movies is very cosy. The kitchen was very good too. The have a lot of dishes and pots, so there's really everything you need for cooking. There were a lot of showers but not all had hot water. But why we would never go again and why we want to warn is because there were bedbugs in the beds. And the staff wasn't surprised about that fact,
