We weren't even placed in kamal deluxe, we were put in another place called Asia rooms. The bed was damp, the toilet leaked and the lock on the door didn't work. Overall not a pleasant place to stay at all!

The place were the hostel is located is unlike any hostel I have ever stayed in. Many people stopping, looking at you... It was scary!!! I did not feel secure...

For the sake of your fun and enjoyed holiday, please do not ever stay in Kamal Deluxe hostel, along with two other hostels in the same owner, Kamal Guesthouse and Toronto Motel. We've been cheated by the receptionist. We paid the rest credit with some amount of cash, then the receptionist, an indian guy, moved us to another hostel (toronto motel) which is located beside the building for not clear reason. Then, they ask for the rest of credit. The bos promise to see cctv but no update untill now.

The staff are doing their best to improve this hostel. Clean and simple, excellent wi-fi.The Location is unbeatable, Hong Kong is a very expensive city where big rooms are almost unavailable, and this hostel gave me a clean, single room in the middle of it all, with toilet ensuite for the price of shared toilet. Excellent price! Chunking Mansions is a very special place in the whole World and you save a lot of money in local transport-also expensive.I would go back if again in Hong Kong.
