There's not much the place can do. Its difficult to notice and once you're inside the place lacks character. Does the job in terms of a bed and having your possessions safe, but not much else to it. Could do with a boost in personality. The staff were perfectly fine though, its just the hostel itself couldn't entice me back.

Dear all, Kamar kamar is a nice hostel to stay. Its located near a good shopping mall in blok M and really easy to get there with the mini bus 610. The rooms are basic with double beds light and aircon. The room comes with lockers and is safe. The toilet is a normal sitting one with toilet paper which is not common everywhere. Its clean, but has no special character. There is free coffee and water all time thats a good plus. For backpackers a good stay and value for money.

Thanks Kamar-Kamar! This is easily one of the cleanest & most thoughtfully-designed hostels in SE Asia! The toilets & showers are excellent, the bunk beds in the dorm are very sturdy (a rarity in hostels!), each with in-built power points & reading lamps, and there's reliable aircon. Staff are very friendly; the communal area is nice. Although it is quite a distance from Central Jakarta, this shouldn't deter you, as metered taxis are plentiful and VERY cheap! I will definitely stay here again.

Air con dorm room, on a busy road but quiet in the room, beds comfy, free linen, free wifi, free use of hostels desktop computer, complimentary tea and coffee. Little way out of the centre, but taxi's are so cheap here not a problem. No complaints, we stayed longer than we intended. Very quiet hostel - don't expect a party here.
