The owner of the Ryokan is an American dude who provides top quality service. As the it is a small country town not many people speak english and he was nice enough to not only suggest places but also walk us to restaurants and help us order! In terms of the location, it is not very close to the station however they also offer free rides to and from the station. Incredible place with very helpful American owner who will drive you around the city and tell you about everything worth seeing. Additionally there is a hot spring in the Ryokan so it\'s basically and onsen.

It´s a really nice place to enjoy the traditional Japan, sitting in the onsen while looking up at the night sky. The people were really friendly, the food delicious and the room awesome. Both Tyler and Mari were wonderful hosts. We were immediately made to feel at home and only wished that we had time to stay for longer. Highly recommended and would love to return to this very comfortable and lovely Ryokan. Both Tyler and Mari were wonderful hosts. A great place to stay if you wish to see something else than just big cities. The staff is very nice and helpful and can give you advice about day trips around Nagano. In english! Try also the ryokan's breakfast and dinner! Bathing in the ryokan´s outdoor onsen was one of the most exclusive moments we´ve ever had.A great place to stay if you wish to see something else than just big cities.
