Bit out of the way.... which means one takes an individual tour.... If you are looking for solitude or you want to read a book, this is a good place....

What can I say, the owner and his family are brilliant make you very welcome and a great help with trips to sigiriya, etc. The restaurants food is great. We were in the apartment just up the hill from the main hotel. Nice spot but only for the young as the hill to get to the restaurant is trickey!! though the owner did drive us home a few times. Overall stay here awesome value for money.

I spent the first night in Sri Lanka at this hotel, and was so impressed with its setting amidst the abundantly greeny hill and genuine natural straps. A tiny and clean swimming pool is available any time to refresh you before heading to another destination. The room itself is very large suitable for a family. At night, it is a bit hard to get back to the hotel on foot because all streets are not fully lit. Anyway, I got a chance to see a firefly on the balcony. That is speechless to me.

Amazing. Place to stay. Cant wait to go back. We stayed here for 2 nights and they were the best out of the 12 days we were away. Food was fab and 1st class. Kay the manager was so helpful and friendly. I have recommended this place to everyone I know. Could not fault it at all :0)

A bit out of the way but in a quiet leafy location. Some rooms were quieter than others some being directly under the kitchen and they start breakfast early! Staff were lovely though :-)

The kandy view hotel truely fullfilled all of our needs. The owner and his staff were always at our beck and call. They organised transportation for our trips and had great advise on where to go and what to do. Kandy festival is a must see event. Seats are expensive (3500-5000), but is worth it, as there are some many pilgrims in town during this period. Kandy view hotel is clean, quiet and reasonably priced. We would recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Kandy.

This is a good value, small hotel with very helpful staff. Views from the rooftop restaurant are very good. The owner will arrange excursions and transfers and advise on places to visit. An ample breakfast is included in the price. The Temple of the Tooth, lake and town are just a 10 minute downhill walk or a cheap tuk tuk drive away.
