Juliette is super sweet and though it\'s a few blocks to town, it\'s super close to the beach.

A bit far from Jaco downtown - perfect location if you want a quiet place close to a surf beach and not much else. The hostel provides bicycles (free) to ride to town but they were under repair when we we there for the one night. Nice people, beautiful swimming pool, spacious, clean rooms, hot shower.

First stay at a hostel. Close to the beach, safe neighborhood, free bike loan, clean pool, nice owners, lots of amenities, the shower didn't drain very well and mystery water flooded around your feet but other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Staff is very nice and helpful but basics are missing like bathroom rug or mat, towel bars, small shelf in bathroom. Need to get rid of broken chairs and replace some of the thin mattresses & pillows.

Highly recommended. Best beach and best surf break in Jaco is just around the corner. Rooms are big, clean and cozy. It's not located at the busy streets of Jaco, but it's also comfortably close, walk on the beach, or.... you get a bikes in great condition for free in the hostel. I also liked the staff there. At the time of my stay, they were building a yoga studio, which I think is a great idea for this chilled out place.

I stayed at Kangaroo with my best friend for a few days. We both really enjoyed our time there and in Jaco. It was so relaxing for the both of us to walk to the beach every morning in 5min. and a quick bike ride to downtown Jaco. For 20$ a night in a private room, we were both very satisfied. Nothing to complain about. The staff was so helpfull and friendly, and meeting other travelers was very easy as well.. Only thing was the rooster farm across the street, but we needed the morning wake up.
