Location? Absolutely perfect. Close to the train, downtown shops and nightlife. Everything was very, very clean - from the showers, to the bathroom, to the dorm sheets. Wifi was good, sometimes slow, but usually excellent. My only suggestion is it would have been nice to have a bit more of a 'run down' of the place from the check-in person. I understand it's not a hotel - but it would have been cool if they had just told me a little bit more about the hostel and surrounding area.

I stayed at the Kangaroo Inn for a week and every thing about the place was awesome. It is so perfectly placed in the centre of Perth. I thoroughly recommend you stay there if new to Perth. I visioned my first stay in backpacker accommodation was going to be dodgy but it was far from it.

Very clean and well maintained place. Internet connection very slow but other than that you get what you paid for. I'll recommend this place to all my friends.

Very convient hostel to stay in. I would say it was more of a high hostel or basic hotel. The rooms went quickly so had to stay in a 4 bed dorm instead of a shared private. First time travelling and first time Aus. Stayed for 3 nights. Very clean. Quiet. The 3rd person in our room was nice to meet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ideal location in the centre of Perth but didn't hear any outside noise. Free wifi on our devices. Laundry facilities on site. Will defiantly stay again. Thanks

I have stayed here on and off for the past month. It is definitely the cleanest, best maintained hostel I have ever stayed at. The staff and owner are very helpful. It is pricey, but I think you get what you pay for.

It was really a comfortable stay, very cosy. We got to bake cookies and cakes in the middle of the night. Very clean and new.

the hostel is good but the refund policy is rediculous. I paid for a week and then extended for another week. I was asked did I want to pay up front or at the end of the week and I said I would for convenience pay there and then. I found a place to live the following day and when I asked for a refund I was told there were no refund policy if paid up front. This is not made clear on hostelworlds website. Neither was I told this at the time I paid for the extension. Robbery. Wouldnt recommend

This place is fantastic, the staff are friendly and will always be on hand to help you. The hostel is on Murray St, close to the Woolworths, Perth Central and Underground local railway stations and the main backpacker bar area of Northbridge. The staff keep the place very clean for a hostel and the dorms are decently kitted out with comfortable mattresses and lockers (bring your own padlock). A lot of people are long stayers, social but not a party atmosphere. Highly Recommended.

I enjoyed my stay here and liked the fact its location gave me access to the places I needed to go to like the train station, tour bus stops and the ferry. For its price, it got me what I needed: a bed to sleep on and a place to put my things.

Check in time is 2.30pm I arrived at 11am; they were very happy to put my bag into locked storeroom and even invited me to sit in the lounge downstairs instead of roaming around Perth for a couple of hours. Slept in a 4 bed dorm the bunk beds are very roomy, comfortable and clean however wasn't to happy about sharing a room with 3 males, I hope bookings are managed in such a way that they try to accommodate males in their own rooms and likewise females as I plan on staying on a regular bases.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and tidy this hostel was since I did not hear about many good reviews of hostels in Perth. It is in a great location- pretty central! I also appreciated how spacious my room was and comfortable it was since there was air conditioning. The staff were lovely and helpful too. There is also free wifi. The price is slightly more expensive than any most hostels I've stayed in but it's worth it for the more comfortable stay! I would highly reccommend this hostel!

I have never stayed in such an excellent hostel! My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we were mind blown at the cleanliness, location and the overall representation of the place. We were particularly amazed at the lounge area in the basement with the kitchen. EVERYTHING was provided. And I mean EVERYTHING -- from cutlery to all sorts of pots and pans. We were bummed at not having enough time to stay here longer. Thank you Kangaroo Inn!

I had a really great time with this inn. You have no idea how excellent it was. I'm so sure that it was the best backpackers I had ever. And I bet you would be satisfied if you stay there. But if I should choose one of bad things while i was staying there, i would say; Room service. I had stayed there for 3 days but they had not and never clean up my room even only one time..

Best hostel I've stayed in during my Australia travels. Good location. Rooms are spotless and the beds seem wider than normal. There are individual bedlights and plenty of power sockets. The bathrooms were always totally clean too, along with the kitchen and other rooms. They have a vigorous cleaning routine. Kitchen was well equiped and the lounge, TV and library were great areas to chill. Staff were very friendly and helpful, one even baking cookies for everyone just because she wanted to! Ace

good: - Cleanliness: very clean in comparison to other hostels - Facilities: everything is new as it is a new hostel - very nice helpful staff - you can't be better situated in the centre of perth than in this hostel bad: - rooms are toward shopping street, at 5:30 a.m. trucks arrive to stock the stores which is very loud (woke me up every morning) - quite expensive in comparison to other hostels
