Very friendly staff who provided some great tips for visiting Dresden. Hostel facilities have a lot of character and feel homey. Kitchen and lounge are both large and very nice. Great location to the new city part of Dresden, and not far from old city.

Good location, a bit out of the way, but mid- way for old and new towns and very convenient for train station.

The hostel is located within a walking distance to all main sights. The kitchen has everything that you could need and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The staff is very helpful too. Bring your own sheets and they must be clean, if you have used them at other hostel before you cannot use them here and you will need to pay for the sheets. I think this should be included. No sleeping bags!

You only get a few hours of free wifi, but they have a computer at the desk you can use for free as well. Great place to stop over for just a night or two and within walking distance to the old part of the city.

The staff was very friendly, especially Julia! She was very helpful and made me feel very welcome!

The staff was friendly and helpful, and that was the best-equipped kitchen I've ever seen at a hostel. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet considering how many rooms there were upstairs. It's literally about a three minute walk from the Neuestadt train station.Location was awesome, and I felt fine leaving our bags all day when we checked out. However, the showers are not at all what I expected--communal, set up like gym showers, with nowhere to put your dry clothes.

I really enjoyed this hostel! The staff was extremely helpful with everything, and provided us some great recommendations! Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hostel, seemed very cozy and down to earth.

Best hostel we have ever stayed in. Easy to find, short walk away from the city centre, lovely themed room and the staff were so helpful and had amazing English! The place to stop if your visiting Dresden.

Very nice hostel, comfortable rooms and nice staff. Huge, clean kitchen and relax area are surely a plus Very good located just a few minutes from the Neustadt - the young area, with bars, arts and much more. The historical center is easy to reach as well. Dresden itself is a beautiful city, I'll surely be back soon.

I had a wicked time there. All the staff were amazing - really friendly and very helpful. I am afraid I did not take any names, but the two women, one with piercings and another one with very short hair gave really good advice to me. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and the lounge was was the perfect place to chill out and meet other travellers. The location is also great. If I ever go back to Dresden, I will definitely book this hostel again!

Location is very good for tour

It is an excellent place to be. The rooms, WC, showers, and the rest of the commun parts are very clean. The team is very thoughful, pleasant and professional. The decoration is original and warm. I will highly recommend Kangaroo Stop.

A really really great hostel! Right next to the Hbf and near an area called Dresden Neustadt where there are a bunch of really cool and hip restaurants, bakeries, designer shops. It's 10-15 min walk to the old town with all the museums, but the walk is pleasant. Staff was awesome, beautiful kitchen and everything possible available, really big and nice common area. I stayed in a 4-bed mix and the room was big. Bathroom and showers are shared but really clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Hostel is in a small street 5mins from all the alternative pubs. Historical city center is 20-30mins by foot, 5-10mins with tram. You will pay 2 euros more if you don't have bed linen. Staff is nice and helpful, kitchen/rest area is big and cheerful. The beds in the 10 bed dorm look like children beds, so you'd better be not too big or you will feel a bit narrow.
