The hostel was one of the best iv ever stayed in. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. It was great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone staying in dresden either for a few days or long-term.

I was only here for one night, and battling the flu, but I got the impression that it would have been a fun place had I not been half dead! Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Pros: Great location, super friendly staff, chilled out funky ambience, even a hammock in the lounge! Cons:Heating wasnt too effective - bathroom was cold and bedroom was too, at times.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Located near Neustadt bahnhof, so it's easy to reach. The shower room was clean and kitchen was spacious enough.

Awesome! The showers could have more cleanliness but a lot of value for the cheap price!

It deserves a note that you have to pay for the sheets and wireless internet connection. But since I reserved the dorm through Hostelworld.com, there were a one-night free internet as a gift. So I don't know how much you have to pay for the internet per day. But There is one public computer for information search, which could be a compensation. The bathrooms are really clean. They have indeed a wonderful kitchen and well-orneted lounge, which create a fantastic atmosphere. Recommend!

Nice hostel located in the new town, and a short walk to the old town. Dorms, common room and kitchen are all spacious and well equipped. But they charge for wifi (only one free three hour session per booking).

I would not hesitate to recommend Kangaroo-Stop. The staff here were fantastic. They were friendly and extremely helpful, taking the time to suggest things to do in Dresden and also how go about doing them (transport etc). The hostel is ideally located close to the train station from the airport, but also the old town and the area with restaurants/pubs/clubs are close by too. Kangaroo-Stop is definitely value for money. This would have to be 1 of the best hostels I've stayed in.
