This place isnt really a backpackers, just a house in a small town. about 40 minutes from all the hikes. Staff are friendly, kitchen fine, could do with a couple more bathrooms. Nothing to do in the town. Probably the closest hostel to the hikes though so if thats what your there for then a nice place to stay
Owner hosted us really good, upgraded our room to bigger one for the same price. The room was big and comfy. Beds were good and you can spend your evening in the garden under the peach tree. Feels like you are at home. And you can get all the information you need about the hikes and some other places to visit.
The stay was very short but perfect for our requirements. It was worth the price and the hostess was very helpful. I would definitely go back there and had a very pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay by Vera (owner). It was like being at your grandmother. We feel directly so at home and in a comfort zone. As we arrived she was cooking cupcakes :) Vera has several brilliant homemade jams - tasted them for free at the breakfast and bought some of them to enjoy the taste at home. She helped us a lot to have a great stay next to the Drakensberg. We got printouts for hiking ways and many advices what we have to visit. Unfortunately we had only a stay of one night.thx
