Kasbah Dar Essalam

Dar Es Salam is a typical south Moroccan quadrangle building surrounded by its 3 meters high walls and 4 towers, a large and central patio is accessible from all the communal rooms. For its construction 200 years ago the locals used only earth, palms, willow and wood. The rooms are of a small size since at the time of their construction their size was limited by the length of the wood available in the area.

Each tower has its own entrance and is home to double bedrooms.

The patio, central point of the Kasbah originally designed to accomodate the herds during the night, has now been converted into a lounge-dining room with individual and private dining areas. All the rooms have inherited the simplicity of the Berber craftmanship and its warm and rich tones of colours.

Outside the patio, are many cool areas where breakfast is served and where you can simply rest after a day walk.
The kasbah Dar Es Salam is a true secluded and peaceful haven and has its own inside car park area.

35 min drive from Ouarzazate international airport the Kasbah Dar Es Salam is on the main road to Keela M'Gouna. Dar Es Salam is ideally located in a palmtree resort and surrounded by typical terracota village houses. From here you will enjoy hicking in the Dades and the Todrha valleys and visit Ait Ben Haddou.
