staying in the hostel had a feel of residing in an old town village so i could ignore some things that would otherwise bother me elsewhere -- clothesline open for all to view; no door locks, dusty place. The greatest thing about the hostel is its staff, in particular, Moon, who showed genuine concern for us hostelers.

Pretty good hostel - like the city itself, it is quite rugged, but it is nice! The decoration and the courtyard add to the atmosphere. The staff is nice, and if you need any information about tours and what to see in Kashgar and Xinjiang in general, make sure to drop by Abdul Wahab's office - he's a nice guy, will do his best to help you out and, most importantly, give you a good price! Kashgar is a must!l
