For location it is really good, and rather easy to find since it is only 1min walk away from a tram stop. The staff speak very little english. Even though we had booked a shared private bathroom, there was no such thing so that was a complete lie on their behalf. Shower room can be annoying as it is unisex shared, so some people take forever to get ready.

Decent place to stay. I'm lucky I can read Japanese, because the directions should be more specific. At the stop you should cross the street and enter the street next to the Nakaute Udon shop, then second left and it's on your left if I'm not mistaken.

Not recommended. Our room was dusty and crawling with small cockroaches- had to sleep with the light on to keep them out. Bad security, all bedroom doors are left open for a few hrs in the day to air, we were never asked/told about this. It would be very easy to steal from other people's rooms. Curfew and no internet were inconvenient.

when we got into our room- it stank of smoke, when we opended the window there is a concrete wall about 10 cms away- no natural light; it was always dark in the room unless you had the light on. i know this isnt thier fault, but we also spent the two nights we stayed there listening to the musical sounds of our neighbours flem fight its way out of his mouth- paper thin walls.

A serious problem with bed bugs. Two out of the three of us were bitten dozens of times. Other than that the traditional Japanese room was nice enough and the washing facilities were limited but adequate.

Remember to get a map of Hiroshima at the information desk at the train station before going ton the ryokan as the directions provided is not very helpful. Overall the stay was pleasant and the host were very nice.

Very clean and quiet location. 10 minute walk from downtown Hiroshima and the A bomb site. Directions a bit confusing to get there.

Excellent location. Walking distance to key sightseeing spots. Rooms were very dark even during the day as the building near door is about 2 inches away! Rooms and bedding were clean but smelt of stale cigarette smoke.
