The hostel is different from all the ones I have been before. The rooms are open and you can feel a breeze and ear the sea during the night and the beds have a net for keep the mosquitos away. The lights are off at 9.30pm so almost everybody goes to bed early and wakes up early with the roasters singing with the sunshine. The staff are quite nice and very helpfull. I felt it as a special place with a unique energy.

Nice place, at the beach, relaxed atmosphere. Dorms very breezy and very open, everybody can walk in and out (from anywhere) takes some getting used to. A few lockers for camera or laptop and such would be a great idea.

1: They are gonna charged you a full price, even if you already payed the 10% for deposit for HostelWorld. 2: It's not a safe place. The rooms don't have doors. There is no lockers, Luggage Storage or Safe Deposit Box. Anyone can get into the hostel (there are no doors!). Sometimes there were no staffs working at the hostel. 3. It's not very clean and the windows don't have curtains, so prepare to wake up with the sunrise! At least, it's a beautiful scene ;)

We booked a female-4-bed room and got a mixed bunked dorm. No doors or keys. People are friendly but different, you will like it or not. For chilling and making your own music perfect.

They didn't have my reservation; they said the reservations are sent to the ex manager so they know nothing about it and wanted me to pay the full price (even though I had already paid 10%). Ended up in a 8 shared bed dorms (read over 10 ppl) instead of the 4 bed dorm I paid for. I had made 2 reservations, so I cancelled the 2nd one since this was nothing like what I had booked. Hostelworld didn't bother to refund the deposit on the 2nd booking.

There was a lack of communication between hostelworld and the hostel. The hostel had no information about our reservation. However they were very nice and were able to get us a room, they upgraded us for free. The hostel is definitely a beach house. Some of the rooms are totally open without doors, or even 4 walls for that matter. It's right next to the ocean and you wake up to the sound of the waves. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

When we arrived Kauai BeachHouse, where we had reservations, the staff there told us that they were fully booked. We told him that we had reservations and had paid deposit. He told us that there were people staying at the hostel who wanted to stay longer, and that he couldn´t just kick them out. So he had given away beds we had reserved to others. And he wouldn´t even give us our deposit back, because that was an amount we had paid to hostelworld. We do not recommend this place!
