I love Kawagychi-ko city, it's near the train station, not far from the lake and can see Fuji Mt. from the room. Also the staff is so kind. Thank you for you postcard :D Only there is some smell in my room. I'm not sure from some food or wood but it make me difficult to sleep

Stayed in the Station Inn for 2 nights and found it to be rather lovely, in our double room we found we had a Yukata each and a table on which was all the ingredients for a nice Japanese cup of green tea. The feel of the rooms was of a nice and clean Japanese home complete with the straw mats and short table with kneeling cushions. There was free internet and excellent amenities, i suggest you try out the hot baths, overall it was lovely :-).

PERFECT location for a short stay, due to it`s location from the bus and train station, literally 50m across the road. Has a hot bath upstairs on the 4th floor which is worth checking out, and it`s free. Free internet, free tea/coffee. It wasn`t busy when i stayed here so didn`t really meet anyone, but i didn`t mind as it was only for 1 night and i was busy visiting mt fuji anyway!! Highly recommended for it`s location!!

Superb location opposite Kawaguchi-ko railroad station. Friendly and helpful staff. Internet lounge in basement. Good showers. Hotel looked pretty old, worn and dated. TA bit of an Eastern Bloc (Soviet) feeling. Excellent Japanese breakfast for 700 JPY. About 20 min walk to lake. They have an onsen-like bath at the top floor. I didn't use it though.

Great location (near Fuji-san and the train station), cheap, rude staff, horrible dorms.

Great hostel, will recommend. We booked a private double room, shared bathroom. The shared facilities were very clean. Location was fantastic, across from the train station, and our room had a view of Mt Fuji. It was a comfortable stay and staff was helpful. The lounge area in the basement was a nice touch, a good place to chill out, play darts and dress up. It is a bit of a walk to the lake, perhaps think about hiring bikes. Hostel has a linked restaurant, not the best food or the best value.

Thanks to the staff for waiting for me at a late hour (after 23:00). Location is great, right next to the station. Rooms are big and beds are rather comfortable. The only drawback is that common room is located at the basement and washing facilities are upstairs, so you can't wash your cup of tea at the same floor. Yes, and I was lucky to have a great view of mount Fuji next morning (recommended to wake up at 5 AM and walk some 20 min to the lake Northern shore)

Me and my mates have a real blast in Kawaguchi-ko Station Inn. Even though we don't have the chance to see Fuji-san and it was raining consecutively for 2 nights and 3 days, nothing stops us from having fun here. The location is excellent. Our room is excellent. Hospitality here is top notch. View is excellent. Definitely will come here again.

A microwave in the lounge would be good. Dorm rooms are overly packed. Fantastic location, the place however is a little run down.
