It was our first time visiting the Fuji area and staying at the Kawaguchi-ko Inn took out all the hassles of finding a place to stay. The location was very convenient, being just across the train station. Their prices are not bad with the available services in the Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views of Mt Fuji were spectacular, especially from the onsen. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. We especialy enjoyed the lounge, they have a section where you can dress in traditional Japanese dress and take photo's. Also an electronic dart board, a big TV and free tea and coffee. We liked this place so much we stayed an extra night.

Mr. Yamoto was most accomodating and ensured that our stay was pleasurable and comfortable. His wife was a wonderful cook as we ate dinner and breakfast there with a wonderful, homey atmosphere. The hot bath was amazing after a day's walk to the snow monkeys and around the town. I need to find out how to adjust my bill as we only stayed one night but paid for two nights. Please advise. tanclan@rogers.com

1. There is only one toilet per floor. 2. Shoes are keep in cupboard on the ground floor but I prefer if it is locker.

The manager of the hotel is friendly and helpful and gave us useful information. The complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge and the easy internet access are both pluses. We would definitely recommend this hotel and go there again ourselves.

A lovely place! The manager and all his team were very welcoming, helpful and generous. One kind, elderly gentleman in the hotel team kept giving me fruit (beautifully presented as is typical for Japan:) to supplement my microwave meals:). It was a very sweet and kind gesture that typifies the generosity and concern of the hosts. The location is superb. Great views of Mt Fuji. Easy to get to from the station. Lovely hot bath with views of the mountain:).

The location could not be better. Right across from the train station. Hostel owners offered lots of helpful information about visiting the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this place for other travelers.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hostel: the onsen has fantastic views on Mount Fuji, and the dorm is very comfortable. You can have nicebreakfast for 500 yens in the restaurant. There is also coffee & tea available in the basement. The location is perfect and the staff is very helpful.

The hotel was perfectly located, in front of the train and bus station, with around several shops and restaurants. It was a simple building with a very clean bedroom. The staff was very helpful to give me the informations I needed. I highly recommend the hotel and will stay if I am around.

My stay at the Kawaguchi-ko Station Inn was a very pleasant one. The staff was very helpful and nice. The accomodation was convenient, clean and confortable. The facilities were kept in good shape and the bathrooms very clean. The room (traditional japanese style) was quite spacious with a nice view over the station's square and the Fuji-san. The pedestrian crossing in front of the hotel had a very annoying jingle repeating over and over 24h/24h - only heard in the reception though!
