Excellent location, friendly helpful staff and great views of Mt Fuji. Would benefit from a couple more showers if the hotel were fully booked.

A former hotel/motel converted into a hostel - nice idea. A lot of privacy, a quite place and an onsen on the top with Fuji-view. Nice.

It's located just across the station. Lake Kawaguchiko is about 30 mins walk. Spacious room with 7 beds in it. You practically sleep in the upper bed on bunk bed, and keep your stuffs below that. Room is smell a little bit dusty. Tatami floor is worn out, where the straws will stick into everything that touch it (e.g.. socks, pants, bag, etc). Only japanese style hot tub public bath available (men & women baths are separated), with mount fuji view. No elevator, bring your own luggage upstairs

Most convenient location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was Japanese style tatamis, which was a great local experience. Wifi was fast and reliable. The shared bath was an onsen, which is another great local Japanese experience. We were able to leave our luggage at the front desk for as long as we needed.

Kawaguchiko Station Inn is excellent value for money & an ideal place to stay to see Mount Fuji & visit the attractions around the five lakes area. The rooms are spacious tatami rooms equipped with tv, tea making facilities, yukata & some toiletries. The staff are very helpful & hard working. It was very busy while we stayed there, but they were always ready to help & gave us advice on places to visit. The western breakfast was very filling and ideal for vegetarians.
