There were no keys or lockers, but thats fine in Japan apparently. The location wasnt the best, but with free pickup from the station and free bicycle hire (which can get you anywhere in a reasonable time) this wasnt a problem. Lovely beach house feel to the place, and the owners are lovely, offering sake and fruit. Would definately stay here again!!

It was quite quiet when I was staying however was made to feel very welcome and given use of bikes and map of areas and Yoshi made sure I was sorted for my days hiking in Kamikochi and where to go for food etc. A cosy hostel and Mr Yoshi was extremely kind and giving little candies unexpectedly. Kindly picked me up from station too and back again!!

I loved this place. The owner's husband was really awesome. He picked me up, dropped me back and really made sure that everything was Daijobu (Ok). Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita.

Great place with lovely owner. He really tries to make sure you are comfortable and helps in any way he can. Internet, laundry, (FREE) bikes and helpful advice all available. Comfortable beds and while it wasn't "central", Matsumoto is quite small and easily navigated on a bicycle. NOTE: directions to get here are non-existent. Study google maps before you get here.
