More like a guest house than a hostel it is a little out of town, i was the only one there so it was somewhat quiet but apart from that an excellent option. Free bicycle rental! Hosts are lovely and offer to drive you to and from the station if needed. Free internet!!! And Matsumoto is a beautiful little town. I'd go back... thanks for the relaxing stay.More like a guest house than a hostel it is a little out of town, i was the only one there so it was somewhat quiet but apart from that an excellent option. By far the best place I've stayed in Japan. The owner was immensely accommodating and helpful. Wonderful Matsumoto setting made perfect by their hospitality and kindness. Nice facilities, essentially a small mountain lodge.By far the best place I've stayed in Japan. The owner was immensely accommodating and helpful. I only stayed one night at Kaze-no Yasuyado and I enjoyed my stay. The Host lent me his bike to ride around town and he also drove me back to the station at no extra charge. The accommodation style is simple and homely though it has everything you need for a budget price. It's a little way from the main part of town, but you can easily bike in if it's not too cold. Even though the location is kind of on the outskirts of Matsumoto, the owners are very friendly and do offer to pick you up and even drop you off at the station. You will feel right at home here as the hostel owner is perhaps the nicest guy you will ever come across and will feed you watermelon for breakfast. The location is bit away from the station, but a walkable distance once you know where it isYou will feel right at home here as the hostel owner is perhaps the nicest guy you will ever come across and will feed you watermelon for breakfast.
