A good place for a good price. Really value for money. A good place for people not needed a 3/4-star hotel.

Although we did have a very good time we were a little disappointed with this hostel. The basic double room was a decent size but there was no safe in our room and the room was only cleaned to a minimum standard. Our final night was in a the larger deluxe room which was definitely nicer with more places to put your things. As for the location we thought it was great. You are literally a 2minute walk to Pantai Tengah - and a 7 minute walk to Pantai Cenang.

We booked 5 nights upfront because it was the only ok rated available to relax a bit, but this was not relaxing at all. The place was really overrated, and we did not understand how people can like this place at all! the room was more of a closet, the aircondinioning almost comming of the wall, the toilet leaking, it wasn't even on the beach, ect. As we shopped around for another place, we found this new hostel for less on the beach. We also heard of other people moving over the same experience

This is a fine hostel, good location to beach and restaurants and it meets all the requirements but it is not one of the hostels you leave thinking 'wow gotta go back there' and that is because the rooms are just a little bit too used and worn down. The owner is very nice and very helpful and free breakfast is always good when travelling but the mattress on our bed was well worn down and the springs poked through. A little refresh of the rooms and it could be nice

They borrow the WiFi from another hostel so it is impossible to get signal from the room. However, there are a couple of cafes next door with free WiFi.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thanks for the comment! We also do have our own WiFi that guest can use in our office and cannot reach to our room due the signal only can cover 100 metre from the main point. Guest can use the wiFi from the other chalet because their office close to our room, but guest need to sit at the HUT AREA.

The staff is SUPER helpful and practically the best reason to stay at this Inn. The guy at the reception will welcome you in with a big smile, construct all kinds of deals for you in order to enjoy Langkawi - be it massage or water sports and also is always willing to sit with you for a minute or so to tell you about the island and it's where.whats and whys. The Inn itself is very basic, I think there might have been bed bugs in my room but I can't be certain. Basically- stay for the staff!

It was a nice place to stay overall if you're looking for a really quite place to stay. Not exactly the most accessible to a beach but there is one behind if you go through the beachside bar behind it.

Really enjoyed my stay at Kedawang. The staff were very helpful, approachable and friendly. The facilities were clean and the room was cleaned during the day (an unexpected and pleasant surprise!). As the ad mentioned, the location is a small distance away from the action at Cenang beach but I enjoyed the peace and quiet. It is still situated almost on the beach. Would recommend this place to anyone but especially couples as the rooms seem to be more geared for this.

The manager was lovely, really nice guy. Nice basic place to stay. We were there for nearly a week, the sheets were never changed, no new towels, and when we ran out of toilet paper, it was never replaced. Even though they came in and tidied up our room each day. So, that was kind of annoying.

The place is just a few steps away from the more quiet part of the beach, and a few more from the real party on Lankgawi. For as little as you pay you get a wonderful room (TV, fridge, bed, towels, clean sheets, small bathroom with hot water) and a shady porch under the wines. It's quiet and nice. You can either chill in the shadows of the small yard, or simply go to the beach! The staff is great, friendly and helpful. Better for couples and older travelers, but i'd recommend to everyone!
