Great spot. Extremely helpful staff. Lovely layout and good value. Easy access to metro stops. Take a copy of the street names in Mandarin characters of you are catching a taxi.

We stayed three nights at Kelly's Courtyard and our stay was great, we had a wonderful time. The hostel is perfectly located in the center of Beijing and is really beautiful with 8 rooms organized around the sunny courtyard in the middle. The room size was good, huge bed, and everything was clean. Facilities worked well (WIFI is also good) and the staff was really nice and helpful. Last but not least, the nice rooftop is the perfect place to relax after a full day walking around! :)

The hostel is a oasis of harmony, tranquility and good taste in such a chaotic city. I really appreciated the cheap price compared to the quality of the rooms and the good service offered at all times. If I come back to Beijing I'd surely like to repeat.

This Hostel was the greatest hostel ever! Kelly greeted us and Mark made sure we got taken care of, from getting a taxi for us at 3am to getting us a car to tour us.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was great coming back to a quiet space after a day out in Beijing and being able to chill out in the courtyard. Real friendly atmosphere. Mark who pretty much runs things there is really helpful and friendly. Thanks Mark.

Kelly's Courtyard is by far the best accommodation I have ever found on Hostelworld (I have traveled to 40+ countries and stayed in Hostelworld bookings in them all). Mark and John(the owner), were incredibly helpful in assisting us in navigating our stay in Beijing. The accomodations are beautiful with an authentic, vintage aesthetic. The living area (courtyard) is covered with a glass ceiling so if you need to get away from the smog, the heat, or rain, you're covered. BOOK IT.

Kelly's Courtyard is serene and classy. Perfect place to stay to get away from reality and enjoy peace and quiet. The atmosphere is definitely this hostel's main asset. They even offer to help with tours to the Great Wall with your own private driver. It's a little bit more pricier but is worth the money when you are traveling in a small group. The location however is very hard to find. Don't worry, when you call the hostel, they are more than happy to talk to the taxi driver.

A little gem in the heart of Beijing. Mark the manager was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. His English is excellent. The rooms were clean and pretty. The communal areas were lovely. The courtyard made a beautiful breakfast area and the rooftop terrace was a perfect spot for a cold beer after a long day sight-seeing.

We had a great stay at Kelly's Courtyard ! It is located on a side alley street that is not accessible to cars, so our taxi had a hard time finding it. However we had the phone number with us and the cab driver called Mark who was very helpful in getting us there. It's close to public transportation and within walking distance of the Forbidden City. Mark was very helpful and gave good restaurant recommendations and even booked us a private driver for the day to go to the Great Wall.

We just loved our stay at Kelly's Courtyard. Much of all this is due to the super friendly and attentive Mark. Hisr tips and considerations make all the difference! The hotel is well located, close to two metro stations, and 10 minutes from the shopping district. The rooms are clean, although the bathroom is a bit small. The breakfast is correct, but it would be nice if they had other options of breads and cheese. We loved our stay, and certainly we'll repeat at the next opportunity!

We loved staying here, it is such a pretty place and we were made to feel very welcome. Mark was fantastic, he was always on hand to help us. It also felt very safe. The location was good with the subway only a short walk away but also suitably located to be able to walk to Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City. Would definately recommend as more personal and colourful than hotels and great value for money.

My husband LOVED the place. I thought it was very nice, but found the location a little challenging. They send a map and between that & the GPS on our phone, we still got lost the 1st time we went there. (Maybe we could have actually studied the map closer rather than following GPS). Once we found it the 1st time we were fine. It seems wa-a-yy-y back in the hutong. Coming from Chicago, I was nervous to be walking out there after dark, but Mark assured us it was safe and indeed, it seemed to be.
