Kelly's courtyard hostel offers a serene oasis in a city that is always busy. For our honeymoon trip, this hostel was the perfect fit as it is quiet, beautiful, true to it's heritage and offers everything you could need. The hostel is run by Bob without whom our trip would not have been half the fun it was our advice is to take Bob's advice - you won't go wrong in Bob's Beijing!

Bob, the manager was most helpful n always present for advice. Does he ever sleep? A delightful oasis in the midst of the gritty backyard of BJ.

It is a really nice place. I liked the atmosphere since I walked in. There is no problems to use english, because Bob is good at it. Also the rooms are clean and the hostel itself is close to the forbidden city and also metrostation if need to go some other places in Beijing. Bob also shared some good information about where to go and how to go.

The manager Bob is very helpful and nothing is too much touble to arrange. He recommended various restaurants in the area. The location is great for the sub station and the up stairs roof terrace is a real bonus to this quate hostel

A little hard to locate, maybe 5-7 mins walk to subway. Small courtyard with maybe 10 or so rooms. Ensuite Bathroom was very nice, towels/shampoo/soap included. Bed was very comfortable and the decor is very western despite the asian structure of the hotel. Bob handles most things here and has very good English. For Beijing it is excellent accommodation and has a different environment than other hostels I've been to. Not for those on a budget, but refreshing for the change in atmosphere.

Every aspect of our stay was absolutely ahead of our expectations even though the positive previous comments had given us high expectations. The level of cleanliness and maintenance is great.Perhaps the breakfast is a bit "different". The staff were good. However the very cheerful and helpfulness of Bob is a major plus for the hostel. His careful and wide ranging advice was critical to our very happy and effective time in Beijing Many thanks to you all

This is one of the best places to stay in Beijing. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff friendly. We got in early, since we had taken the overnight train from Xi'an, but we felt right at home. Bob invited us to a nice breakfast, and the warm courtyard was a great place to relax and read. The whole place has a magical charm. We would have stayed longer, but all of the rooms were already taken. Next time we'll book months in advance.

What a wonderful hostel, highly recommended. Kelly's Courtyard is a peaceful oasis in the middle of one of the worlds biggest and busy cities. It should be your 1st choice when booking for hostel accommmodation in Beijing.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Bob was AMAZING and so helpful. I would highly reco this to anyone staying in Beijing. It is really easy to get around and is close to a lot of the big tourist spots. Bob gives play by play instructions on how to get anywhere, and even helped us map out our day trips to get the most out of our stay. The character of the hotel was amazing. I just can't rave enough about this place.

Wonderful place! Would definitely stay there again! The rooms line the perimeter of the courtyard. You feel like you are in an ancient household. this hutong home getaway is just what you want if you are looking for traditional living away from the busy beijing living. Bob is the caretaker and he is charming and most helpful with anything you want to know about. Clean, traditional, charming, in the heart of the city yet secluded, and the warm welcoming help will make your beijing trip worth it!

Kellys Courtyard was an excellent choice. Bob the host is very very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. The hostel is very close to all the central tourist attractions and shopping centres with easy access to the Metro. Definitely one not to miss and excellent value for money.

Awesome place to stay. Very clean, safe and in easy walking distance to the old part of Beijing. Overall, the best part about this hostel is the host Bob. He is very informative and can direct you to anything that you may want to see while in Beijing. Kent USA

Incredible hospitality, well located and the staff help you in everything you need. I really recommend the palce.

Great location and the owner, Bob, was very helpful in setting up excursions. The courtyard was lovely with a nice feel of old China. The breakfast was on the light side, toast, yogurt and coffee or tea. We would recommend Kelly's.

Bob was very nice! He was extremely helpful and understanding as we had to make some unexpected changes to our booking. I would stay here again. It is an 'off the beaten track' hostel which is just what we were looking for, this should be kept in mind if your plan is to go out and have some drinks etc.

Just few days to discover Beijing; good central location; very nice and authentic hostel. Bob, always here to help you, gives good advices ! Romain
