You get a lot more than you pay for - excellent place to stay

I was unnecessarily charged booking fees although that has been taken when I made online booking. Hotel staff was not pleasant. Towel was not provided and hotel was very noisy. Not a good place to stay. I felt it was a rip off

The room was fine and was nice and clean. Couldn't get the shower to work ( The button changer was too stiff ) But I got a lovely hot bath. The food was excellent and served up very nicely . The staff were very helpful Would go again if we needed accommodation in Glasgow Agnes Gorman

The hostel was very clean and very nice. We staying in a 4 person private room with an ensuite and we loved that they provided us with towels. We only stayed one night and the lady that was on duty was incredibly rude and demanding. She was an older women and was not friendly or welcoming at all. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, it is about a 10 minute walk or so to the subway station and a 5-10 minute walk to The University of Glasgow which is gorgeous.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean. The room was familiar and big, enormous window and high ceiling. We liked the fact that we had a kettle, tea and coffee. But as a negative point, we wanted to kook in the kitchen and they only allowed us to use the microwave, don't know why yet...

Nice hotel in a stylish Victorian house with good breakfast and also a small kitchen. Unfortunately, it was located next to one of the big streets in Glasgow, so it was alittle bit loud during the night.

Fantastic stay. My room (single, shared bathroom) was perfect for the price - very comfortable and clean. My room was just opposite the bathroom, and I never had to queue or wait at all. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Charlie!

Friendly and helpful staff and nice location behind the trees on a main road. The bathroom was quite small and the room was a little humid (we arrived after some heavy rain though)

Overall it's a very good hostel for backpackers

Clean and cheap that's for sure but all the bedrooms are like prison cells, all really tiny with cheap furniture and no charm at all and all in that horrible basement without windows, Do not stay more than one night!

Excellent service and very cosy place.

Great hospitality, Charlie was super helpful with any questions we had. Room was a little small but clean. Located right next to the botanic gardens and about a 7 minute bus ride from the bus terminal.

Charlie's a lovely host, very friendly, patient and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked by Charlie himself. The only problem I found was the size of the room, was a bit too small for 2 person plus 2 hand luggage. Otherwise the place was very clean and all the staff there were lovely. The location of this B&B is at the West end of the city, but it's very easy to get to, only costs 1.40 pounds for subway one way or 1.90 pounds for bus one way. gets to town in 10 mins.

Charlie is fantastic! Very personable. The location was great for getting food or hitting the laundromat. Loved this place! I would definitely recommend to others and go there again myself!

Hotel at the price of a hostel. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Location was great.

This is a HOTEL not a hostel! While the room we booked was very nice, this was counteracted by a horrible kitchen, where we could only use the microwave, there was no toaster, and nowhere to sit at a table to eat. Cleanliness in the kitchen was insufficient, and we resorted to eating microwavable food from its box. Wifi very edgy and constantly disrupting. Situated close to a subway station, but a bit of a walk to the centre. Had much better experiences at much cheaper

It's a hotel for the price of a hostel! And the breakfast is incredible -- a real hot breakfast, not your usual "here's some bread and cereal" hostel thing. The staff were also extremely accommodating and helpful, and really go out of their way for you. Would definitely return!

Staff was very helpful and kind (especially the Scottish woman from staff called Sandra:))! House keeping was done regularly and in time. Having lived in room number 17 (single room), the room space was small but quite comfortable.

Only a microwave for use. Not really a kitchen!!!

We enjoyed our stay at kelvins and would definitely come back. This place is a hotel not a hostel so there is no kitchen you can use. But the breakfast was really awesome! the rooms were good and the house itself had a great athmosphere. The location was good too, a lot of groceries, restaurants and cafes around.
